And airfaring.

Was thinking about a new scoring system for CW. The way I see it, there are two problems with CW:

1) There isn't much incentive to do anything once you're a few captures behind.

2) There isn't much incentive to play at all.

The second I believe can only be fixed by changing the 5k games requirement, but the first can be helped by changing the score.

I was thinking the following:

First there is concept of 'flag distance'. Basically it is like yardage in football (I had to look this up). Moving in circles won't help your flag distance, you have to actually bring the flag closer to your base. This is to reward people who carry the flag most of the way and pass it for the final, safe squares (to be out there and running again faster? idk, some people do).

6 tickets to all players on the team with most captures - the winning team

2 tickets to all players on the team with most flag distance

2 tickets to all players on the team with most kills (which also is least deaths and best kdr, naturally)

4 tickets to the player with most flag distance

2 tickets to the player with most kills

12 players are required in the game before the 'most kills' and 'most distance' are awarded, so that boosting isn't quite so easy. On a tie, tickets are split. If more than two people share the top distance/kill rank, no additional tickets are awarded.

That way, a good player on a bad team can still get some tickets, a decent team without good flag runners can still go for the kills, and a team which captures and carries the flag often but never quite reaches their base can also get some reward.

Obviously this way you award at least 5 tickets per participant (up to 5.5 with 12 players), which is 5 times as much as current CW. Shop prices and current ticket stacks would have to be adjusted.

Ty Mish :).

+40 commendations from Conquest.

Also played some PC, 13 games only, but ok.

SW is really bad at night, much better played in the morning when there's only one clan.

Also about 3.8m from 114, 1500 steel from maxed upgrades. No luck with scrolls still :(.

Finished port upgrades.

Finished The World Wakes. Epic quest.

[hide]I picked Zaros. Sliske is a bleep.[/hide]

Finally found a replacement for my War-Chief title.

Also, pretty map:

gallery_173254_290_36586.png

Look at the length of the side-paths.

The longest path besides the main is the ones south-east and north-west of 3 rooms total.

This map has 12 dead ends (plus boss). 30 rooms including start and boss. That means you only need to run 18 + however many dewk. The south-west path for example had no keys, and the doors were plain doors.

The way this played out is that you first have to run the top path that starts east and curves north and then west. Then you start the main south path to the boss, with small side paths branching every time.

Due to chatting and Gulega boss (and a little bit GDscape trying out the new ults) it wasn't a fast floor, but the map... wow.

Edit: Got banshee scroll. Five done now.

Editedit: Got hobgoblin scroll. Not even 250 kills.

In case you were wondering, Magic now works very much like Ranged. Spells are like your ammo, and staves have their own weapon damage now. Spell damage scaling seems to have been fixed too, which is good. It now simply scales with one damage per level.

Metamorphosis still boosts damage by 25%, not by 50%. Wild Magic now hits twice again, for up to 219% spell damage each.

But, unsurprisingly, there is a new problem now. Magical prayers don't affect damage anymore... Lol.

Why did it take them so long to do that? >.>

They lowered the damage on the chaotic maul and royal crossbow slightly, by around 30 damage. I don't know why.

Strength now contributes level*1.5 to overall damage on 2h weapons as part of balancing 2h with dual wield. There's been a tier/2 damage reduction for 2h across the board to compensate

Edit: BCP/Nex sets still only apply their standard damage to a 2h, whereas they provide 50% additional for an offhand too. Shame

I noticed something weird about my chaotic maul. It has 1,788 weapon damage, so you'd think I have a total of 1,887 weapon damage with 99 Strength, right? The Combat Stats interface is displaying 1,936 damage, lol.

Edit: I need to stop being such a derp. Octarine already explainded how it works.

Best of luck to Q. :)

Thanks, you too :).

Got the ghoul scroll. The rule is "only weapons" but you can bring (active) auras, no off-hands. 7/13 scrolls.

Also 3/4 scrolls for seasinger legs.

Wild Magic is stupidly powerful now, considering how easy it is to get adrenaline now with that new defensive ability, you can get off every single threshold with metapmorphosis with almost no effort.

But the new defensive ability is an ult as well? The 200% adrenaline is nice I guess, but in PvP you will at most get full adrenaline back.

Finish boss kill with full adren -> use defensive one -> get to ult -> Meta/Zerk or whatever -> Thresholds in 1 ability with vigour/adren pot

This will be totally awesome for Nex if you time it right on Umbra.

Got a ragefire drop today, up to 77 shards as well. Seasinger is pretty nice, you don't need a shield at all, but I wish I had a tetsu helmet for a bit more all-round def (using neit atm). Guthix' Butterfly (yes I know it's not the real name) is good for emergency heals too, no shield rejuv please.

Been working on rank 1 esteem a little, it's a huge pita (80 hours more probably). ~21800 pts, need 180k.

1.5m to 114 dg, no p2h yet, did two 3:3 large f57s but they were both hope & sagittarian top (easily soloable, even 3:3 - totally lame).

Also working a tiny bit on hybrid boots/legs, champs etc. but no real progress.

Well basically it reduces any weapon to a fast speed weapon, 4 ticks iirc. So you get 80% for 5 ticks (.8*5 = 4), 66% for 6 ticks (.66*6 = 4) etc.

Just killed a bunch of glacors (72 or 36 or idk, how does glacyte xp work actually? 36 kills doesn't work with the amount of charms I got (123, 41 kills), but 72 kills suggests glacytes make up 95% of the total xp, going by RSwiki rates). Either way, funtimes, but only two shards :(. 40 min trips work nicely, not too tiresome. 21 more shards for abs.

DG wise a good day also, under 600k to 114 dg and got primal 2h solo as well (two in fact).
