Kinda ridiculous but I'd support it so that cwars wouldn't be such a huge percentage of the trim requirements.

I was going to write a list out but it seems Q beat me to it :P

I thought of how sadistic the reborn champion would be, with only like 40~ chances a day to get a scroll, bwahahaha!

Fire warrior would have been cool but really weird to implement since he just seems to be a random guardian that Lesarkus (whoever that is) put in the Temple.

Soulless??? Can you set up cannons in the Underground Pass? :P

Some others I'd like to add would be Killerwatt, Zygomite, Ankou, Troll, Ogre, Scabarite, Suqah, Fire Giant, Nechryael, Infernal Mage, Gargoyle and Black Demon.

Would be fun if each lesser champion could get its own special mechanic so that it's not just a bashfest. If I had a chance I'd also start the rarity of champion scrolls at a higher rate (1/8192), and then reduce it slowly as the player kills more of the champion's race.

They should replace the Werewolf champion of champions with a Vampyre (fresh from Vampyrium!) and have the Werewolf be a lesser champion.

If you have a similar mechanic to hybrid armour, there's no chance of getting lucky and also no chance of getting super unlucky. Guess it's a matter of what you prefer. It'd make sense to run out of targets at some point, so maybe you should have a tiered system:

1-5000 kills: base drop rate of 1/5000

5000-10000 kills: drop rate increases to 1/1000

10000+ kills: drop rate steady at 1/1000

As of now, you have 13 scrolls, 2 throned champions, one after 10 scrolls, one after 13.

So you'll end up at 25 scrolls (13 + 4*3) for the sixth champion.

Ghost, troll, vampire and maybe shadow warrior seem like obvious choices, idk about killerwatts or similar, they are a lot less humanoid (unable to speak, for one). I like shadow warrior because it requires Legend's Quest :P.

Killerwatts felt like they'd fit the bill before their graphical update, when they had those arms and legs that made them slightly humanoid.

I'd actually like there to be a total of 42 champions (incl champion of champions), seems like it'd fit nicely. The expansion of 3+1 felt quite trivial.

42 :o.

If they add that many, it's going to be a bigger req than everything else together, except Castle Wars (10h per champion?).

I have tested all the range and melee abilities in depth. The damage on all of them is related to a figure which is not equal to damage shown in the equipment screen but is constant for a given weapon. When I started testing I did think it was related to max hit but for some weapons (notably drygores, chaotics and barrows equipment) it is not, I will just refer to the figure as "max" because that's what I've always used to describe it. Most abilities have a minimum hit as well as a maximum hit.

I define the "time" as how long you must wait before you can attack again without wasting any potential of the first ability. The most sensible way to compare abilities is to compare their average hit per "time" as I have defined it.

To begin with I'll just post the melee abilities in order of best to worst in their groups.

Kick, backhand and barge.

I believe all three do between 60% and 188% of max when used against stun immune monsters but if anything the data suggests that kick has a higher min hit so I suggest using that. Barge cannot be used in dg.

Hurricane, flurry and quake

Where N is the number of monsters in AoE range the damage per tick is

Hurricane: 0.447+0.405N

Quake: 0.2+0.222N

Flurry: 0.167+0.175N

Assault, Destroy, Slaughter

Assault: 0.963

Destroy: 0.709

Slaughter 0.467

Berserk

The minimum hit of berserk is the minimum hit of the ability you are using under its effect. The maximum hit is twice the maximum hit of the ability you are using.

Balanced strike

Has the potential to hit 90% of a single monster's hp, if you use it when you are about to die against a full hp monster you can hit for almost all its life points and heal yourself to half health. The damage is capped at 1/4 of their hp for bosses if you do the attack when they are near full hp, there are some other odd caps when the boss is lower hp but anyway its effect works best at the start of the fight. Gulega's damage scaling does not apply to the damage. It is useful on gulega (yay snuffy for this idea) at the start just after he does his spec that gets you to 1lp. If gulega halves normal damage then I calculated that for gulega it is worth using balanced strike instead of berserk if you can't solo him under 160 seconds without berserk's boost.

Massace, meteor strike, frenzy, overpower

Massacre: 1.527

Meteor strike: 1

Frenzy: 0.754

Overpower: 0.75

Cleave: 0.275 per targets in the frontal cone area

Basic abilities.

Pulverise 0.5

Dismember 0.416

Sever 0.413

Smash 0.4

Slice 0.275

Havoc 0.275

Decimate 0.267

Fury 0.266

Punish 0.222

Quake is better than assault if you have more than 3.4 monsters around you (3 and 1 near death)

So, after Zerk, massacre is the best ult? Or am I reading that wrong.

Because Nexer- Zerk has half damage on Zaros, as does frenzy and a few others

However Massacre doesn't- which I find odd.

I also need to get round to writing an EoC combat simulator with abilities and stuff, when my computer turns on.

Also, buying comparison of Death's swiftness and Deadshot (Also unload). Curious as to what's best.

Massacre is next best. Good luck writing a simulator, we're missing a lot of information on max hits but this ability research is a big step forward.

Unload is average 1.0055 damage per tick, deadshot is 0.95875 damage per tick

Death's swiftness does its AoE attack up to 5 times and is between 10% and 20% of max. It boosts damage by 50% and stacks with ability boosts. It takes 3 ticks to activate and lasts for 16 ticks.

Consider 2 cases when ranging for 16 ticks. Suppose your normal damage per tick is d, having a higher damage per tick favours deaths swiftness so assume the worse case scenario where all the abilities you normally use are only as good as piercing shot. Piercing shot has a min hit of 40% and max of 125% which is average 0.275 damage per tick.

I'll assume deaths swiftness doesn't stack with abilities like berserk does because it makes the comparison simpler.

Case 1. If you used unload for 6 ticks and then used something else for 10 ticks you would do 1.0055*6+10d= 6.033+10d damage over 16 ticks

Case 2. If you used deaths swiftness then assuming all N targets stay in the shroud you get 0.75N damage for the aoe, after spending 3 ticks activating deaths swiftness in your remaining 13 ticks you do 13d damage

Death's swiftness is better if

6.033+10d<0.75N+13d

2.011-0.25N<d

A high value of d favours death's swiftness, d peaks at around 0.4 for basics

2.011-0.25N<0.4

1.611<0.25N

6.444<N

In the best circumstances you need 6.444 monsters around you taking the AoE damage in order for death's swiftness to be better than unload.

My assumption that death's swiftness does not stack like berserk would also favour death's swiftness in the comparison so the result is still solid.

Killed about 800 gobbelies, got a lot of steel items. The goblin village bosses drop t20 melee (steel) and coifs (t20 ranged) but otherwise no t20 mage/range. Meleescape :(.

Didn't get much else done, about 35 days to finish Flingers, 120k more span pts, 6 champs + 2 throned champs.

Also Guthan's is awesome, and barrows in general. Ask Thai why ;).

Well the calculation of attack and defence ratings is the hardest part. We have no idea what turmoil does. As for max hit did anyone confirm that each potion boosted level is +10 damage? But do you really need to make a simulator when you would be able to calculate it once you have it all figured out? Overkill is the only reason you'd need to simulate it.

Didn't get much else done, about 35 days to finish Flingers, 120k more span pts, 6 champs + 2 throned champs.

Also Guthan's is awesome, and barrows in general. Ask Thai why ;).

Which 6?

If you add horns or a crest to your helmet - and I'm not saying you should - you'll do so mostly for intimidation.

While adding an 'intimidation' statistic as armour bonus is possible, I'm not sure whether it would be any good - if anything high 'intimidate' would reduce monster aggressiveness, which reduces xp/h.
