transcript80
I got a slayer assignment of so-many Ice strykewyrms. I intend to mage them, but I cannot use the fire surge spell due to my magic level being <95. Since they are succeptible to fire spells, would it be better to use a lower level fire spell or a higher levelled surge spell (water/earth)? Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Helm_Lardar
I believe it would be better to use a fire spell, even if it is lower level. That makes sense. But what is your magic level? I'm not an efficienado.
AndJusticeForOne
I hit well over 700 with Fire Wave. Don't even bother using anything that's not fire on them.
transcript80
My magic level is 91. Is it possible/viable/efficient to keep it boosted with extreme magic pots to 95 and surge anyway? LatinII
Do you have a wolpertinger? If not, then bring a Vecna skull. Normal magic potions run out way too fast to be worthwhile.
Powerfrog
I would definatley recommend potted fire surge. The extreme pot will increase your damage by a further 21% (when fully potted) and make the task go even faster. Unless you don't want to waste extremes, in which case firewave is perfectly acceptable.
Ezkaton
I'd definitely vouch for potting for fire surge (I'm currently 92 mage 243k to 93). Extreme Magics/Wolper aren't really worth it in my book until 93 mage when you get a good 5 mins or so of boost. Venca Skull, I'm not too sure on, never used it. I personally set up with 4 overloads. Often that's too many (but I like to overkill my tasks ;) ) yet it's a good way to be constantly 95+ mage, get a good % boost to damage etc. Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
transcript80
"Wasting extremes" is ok, I don't have a wolpertinger (87 summoning).Might try to extrme-surge, since I don't have over loads as well. Well looking at your stats you have 92 herb, so it really wouldn't hurt to give stewing for Ovls a try? :) Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
transcript80
Stewing has never been a friend of mine. To achieve elite seers tasks, I got the herb level-2 to be able to use a greenman's ale (m). But thanks anyway. I might feel lucky some time... Other data was removed when acoount got hacked... Quyneax
You can use extreme magics, you'll have about 4 minutes per drink, so over a task of 1.5 hours (not sure how long you take) you'd use about 6 full potions.
