It's been weakening rapidly since yesterday. It's been weakening, but it hit us around 1:30 this morning, and it has been absolutely ruthless. We've lost power for like 40,000 in my county, and they've shut down multiple roads for any travel for the next couple weeks. Thats one of 4 trees in my yard that are broken in half/uprooted. - 60,023rd to 99 Firemaking on April 29th, 2012 -- 15,152nd to 99 agility on August 21st, 2011 -- 30,569th to 99 Prayer on June 26th, 2011 -- 22,646th to 99 Hunter on Jan 9th, 2011 -1993 Miata; sold - 2001 E46 330i; "totaled" - 2001 E46 325iT; Bags and wheels ;)

Sbrideau
Expected to hit at the end of the day Sunday here, but being in New Brunswick, Canada, it's just going to be rain and wind rather than a storm, most likely.

Duff
Really hope everyone stays safe during this. I have a few friends on the east coast, and it'd be horrible if their houses took damage. Actually, it'd be awful if anyone experienced financial difficulties cause of this. :\ | My Tumblr |

Riku3220
Wait, an earthquake and a hurricane? Good luck east coast. I'll be over here in Texas with my mostly sunny 105 degree weather. The worst thing we get is a drought that forces us to only use sprinklers on certain days. OOOooooOOOOooo

OOOooooOOOOoooC'mon, just because you're closer to the water than me doesn't mean you can't feel the wildfires still going strong. Good luck to y'all over on the east coast. I can't really understand hurricanes, maybe since I'm used to tornadoes. Just one column of wind rather than a wave. And that kind of rain sounds crazy, it floods here with an inch and a half. This dang hurricane is postponing a talk I need to have with my admissions officer. Still, I'd rather have to wait and everyone be fine than anyone else get hurt. catch it now so you can like it before it went so mainstream

I live in the city where any wildfire that arises would be noticed and could be stopped with a fire extinguisher. A grass fire started on the side of the highway about a month back and a couple of guys just got out of their trucks, doused it out with a fire extinguisher, and went on with their day. magekillr
A tree fell on my neighbor's house and split it in half. Pics tomorrow. edit: I'm just relaying words from a friend of mine who works with the fire department. She said members of her team described it as thus. Not sure what they mean by "split it in half" though.
