pal2002
Come and join the I quit club, the grass is definitely greener on this side :P Seriously, you will find that you suddenly will have so much more time on your hands after you cancel your sub. For one thing, I've become a lot more active on tif and rsof after quitting. Plus other awesome things I've discovered-Starcraft anyone? Wish I can say the same. <_< Ever since college, I literally have to cram my time to make room for this game and this forum. I would still play since RS has never affected my grades to begin withbut it's that I can't keep on playing it since there's nothing to do now that I have billions of gp, every of my skills are no fun, and no content that I can enjoy. I can safely say that I've beaten thisgame until there was nothing left for me. I know I have so much more to do but I can't continue grinding all my skills since it's just not fun anymore. I'm thinking of quit playing games altogether and find a new hobby like trying to lose weight or focus on my major. Prob not going to happen but it's worth trying. :) My routine keeps me busy enough to not even think about Runescape for days. I usually watch Youtube videos, look up wikipedia articles, search google images, watch/read the news, study for quizzes and exams, and other things. The best partabout my life is not having any relationships...since I can save money, time and esp freedom. :shades:Well here's another thought for you - GET a relationship lol. Anyways, with no jobs anywhere and poverty at 15%, that GPA of yours is gonna be more important than ever - college and RS really isn't a good mix. Unless your aim is to fail and become homeless. remoteman
I guess i'm in a fairly unique position being that i did quit, didn't play for three years up until about two months ago, and i've been playing reasonably solidly ever since, maybe 10 hours a week? I quit before the GE was even announced, so i presume that it was about three years ago? Signed in to grab some holiday items for the first couple of holidays, but when i signed on for the first time 2 months ago i hadn't logged on for 860 something days hah, should have got a screeny. It's sad because none of my old mates are online anymore, but i enjoy the game as it is, even with the known issues. I'm just happy to play until i no longer find joy in it. jijilentosmi
I never really quit, but Runescape is so low on my list of priorities at times that I often go weeks, even months, without playing, especially during the school year. Also, on the topic of playing and going to college: It can easily be done, since college, or at least my college, is about twelve-fifteen in class hours, which requires about thirty hours of studying for a high GPA, assuming you study quickly. That's only two to three hours in class per day, and maybe four hours of studying. You can knock that out by three pm with ease and then do anything you want for the rest of the day. Of course, if you want to be social, you have to play less.
Stommel
I spent way too much time playing over the last couple of years so I ended up quitting this summer. I think the key for me was finding another game I enjoyed more, and could play less (Starcraft). Runescape is a (realistically) never ending game which meant even if I accomplished my goals there would be something more to strive for, and I got extremely bored of everything but Dungeoneering. Once I got 120 it meant I could continue dungeoneering but it wouldn't contribute towards maxing, or I could train other skills, which for me was a waste of time. Ironically if it wasn't for dungeoneering I probably wouldn't have had this realisation and would still be playing Join "DGS" Guest Clan Chat for Dungeoneering Floors | Accepting all tipiters who are Willing to Learn
