Jack of Trades aura

Now that I have the loyalty points, I was considering getting the Jack of Trades aura to supplement my skill training. I can't find any information about how much XP you get from it. Obviously, I'd only get the aura if it's worth it.

Any ideas?

I believe you get to choose any skill you like, just like an xp lamp. (That's a guess.)

Saradomin mage is correct, but for your convenience i worked out a few levels so you don't have to do any maths.

Level 50: 2500 xp

Level 60: 3580 xp

Level 70: 4860 xp

Level 80: 6340 xp

Level 90: 8020 xp

Level 99: 9703 xp

Almost 10k a day free experience is pretty nice. But i think i'm going to save for vampirism or a future aura.

You get a reward book at the end, and it operates like penguins / genie lamps - pick a skill you want and the XP goes to that.

As far as Auras at the moment go, this one's a better snag than Wisdom, rofl.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

It depends what you do in the half hour, technically you could get a lot more experience a day from the 2.5% when training herb/pray/summoning...

But you can max those in a few days at the rate you'd have to be gaining xp, plus spending a lot of GP, so it's kinda useless in the longrun. I agree. I'd much rather have this than Wisdom.

So I ended up getting the Jack of Trades, and the calculation given above checked out. With the Dwarven Military Axe and killing a few locals, I did the 10 skills in less than 5 minutes. A pretty good supplement for RC training, in my opinion.

Pickpocket guard - 1 skill

Kill guard on Controlled - 4 skills

Bury bones - 1 skill

Cut 2 logs, burn 1, fletch 1 - 3 skills

Alch bow - 1 skill

Takes less than a minute for ~9k rc xp, pretty nice.

They let you include combat? This is way too generous - seems a no-brainer to get this. The pedant in me does suggest one shouldn't forget to factor in travel time to reclaim the xp too :)

My preferred method (as of day 2) is

Attack controlled (1-4)

Bury bones (5)

Burn log (6)

Cook a monkfish (7)

Fletch a bow (8)

Make fire battlestaff (9)

Teleport to Varrock (10)

Claim reward

Then go buy battlestaves.

Terribly simple to do since i usually bank to get the aura and so i can get the materials for 6-10 anyway.

I'll totally waste at worst 3 minutes for 5k rcing exp at my level. (77)

I may put something here eventually.

1. Herb run, cleaning herbs (1-4)

2. Pickpocket guard (5)

3. Kill guard on controlled (6-9)

4. Bury bones (10)

If you have Lunar Trollheim Teleport, you won't get agility xp from climbing down the mountain, so just stick another skill in there somewhere.

Reviving this for a related question.

Do you need to have the aura equipped as you get the exp in the 10 skills, or you get the exp and when you equip the aura after gaining the exp? I assume the former, would just like confirmation.

You need to have the aura active (= equipped & activated), then gain the 10 different kinds of xp, then unequip it and claim your reward. You can also wait 3 hours for it to wear off by itself.

I don't know about lamps, strange rocks etc. but I think the cruncher must work.
