Strange swirly thingy

So I was smelting in Edgeville and suddenly I noticed this:

What the hell does it mean? I saw it passing though the Furnace and it stopped a little while after I finished recording (it just disappeared). As you can see it was moving slowly, also didn't have a right-click option.

Looks like glitched ancient curses to me, normally they should be one colour and moving.

have seen those things tons of times at edge. No idea why they are specifically that much at edgeville.

 

people pk and respawn at edgeville. they die and show up there, curses still sometimes activating.

Yeah its ancient curse animations, one of the ones that fires from you to opponent and back again.

If pkers die at the right moment while the curse is firing the animation continues which means the bounce back shoots all the way to edgeville.

 

You do occassionally see em in other areas as well from people dying in quests etc.
