[Readme] Site Updates Temporarily On Hold

Hey guys,

 

Just giving you all a heads up, with all the recent chaos our admin tools are not quite back online yet for the main site, so we won't be able to do any content updates for a few more days. Please by all means continue posting submissions and we'll comment on them, but we won't be able to make any changes to the site content right away. I'll delete this thread once we get our editing tools back online and we can get back to updating again. :)

Lol someone failed to read the read me...

 

It clearly says KEEP SUBMITTING, it'll just be a few days before they can act upon corrections; which in all honesty won't even touch mostof corrections posted since a good 80% or so are posted for a few days at the bare minimum before they get processed with a worryingly high amount being overlooked for months due to obscurity or w/e.

You can just continue posting submissions, and we'll be looking at them too.

The only difference is that we won't be changing things on the main site for a few days. :wink:

We get numerous submissions on-forum and through the main site, and I assure you that they are all being looked at and processed as soon as is possible.

 

You may want to consider that all staff are volunteeers and also have real life commitments, aside from the fact that Crew work covers a lot more than just submissions and not all submissions can be confirmed right away.

I know it takes time, a few days delay on most posts isn't exactly a bad turn around time, and I merely meant due to this it the admin tool outage shouldn't visibly impact turn out time for most corrections; but still there are a worrying amount* of corrections that do seem to just get ignored for months on end, even when they are quite simple and heavily confirmed.

 

Example:

In quite a detailed thread on temple trekking posted shortly after tip.it main guide was updated several people pointed out a paragrpah that claims companion level (easy,med,hard) effects number of enemies in events enroute is completely and utterly wrong and needs to be removed. About 3 people, myself included confirmed this and it is very very easy to verify by simply popping to temple trekking and taking smiddi or rolayne on a hard route and seeing the full 5 npcs to fight.

So why like 3-4 months later is it STILL not corrected? It's not even like the thread has been overlooked, some other details posted on it (that are mostly more obscure and harder to verify) have been implemented into the guide.

 

Example 2:

There was a treasure trail new orb scan(?) I saw posted 5 separate times, with confirmation screen grabs in at least 3/5, over about 3 months recently, which got completely overlooked until FINALLY the 5th time it got put on site.

 

*I should clarify by worrying amount I don't mean a HUUUUUUGGGGE number, just enough to raise concern especially given how dramatically overlooked they are given their simplictiy; though worth noting it has seemed to improve of late as a lot of older threads have been dealt with.

Considering the temple trekking guide had that make-over after its relevant update, is has been less than 2 months.

 

As for the Treasure Trails section, seeing how I manage that part of the forums I'm sure I would have noticed this. :blink:

As I recall there's only been a few double submissions of compass locations, which haven't been added yet because I haven't gotten to the relevant areas in the rework. The submissions were handled regardless.

 

Anyway, as said before, a while ago we had some changes in our policies and I can personally assure you that every single submission is being looked at. :^_^:
