It's been beautiful outside today, and the nice weather has done wonders for my mood. Also, when you're tired and the professor decides to show a movie for the lecture. The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. He had a flat tire going down the highway maybe 10 years ago and a strapping young lad stopped to help him out. He was about to report for duty at the semi-local military base, but stopped to help my pop-pop who was all grey haired and helpless. When he was done he saluted him and called him sir. My pop-pop was confused and said "I'm not even in uniform" and the Marine said "yes sir, but I can tell you once were". My pop-pop had the biggest sound of respect in his voice when he told this story. He served in WWII in the 83rd and 101st paratrooper divisions. He was once of the first waves to touch ground in Normandy, has a bronze star and 2 purple hearts. Only that it is due to June-October, so I don't know exactly when I will get it. But such windfall is great. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. It's so nostalgic. Though, I still hate the POH theme and the GE theme.
