Things That Make You Smile :)

What was that website's name again? I didn't quite catch it.

It's been beautiful outside today, and the nice weather has done wonders for my mood. Also, when you're tired and the professor decides to show a movie for the lecture.

The only difference between Hitler and the man next door who comes home and beats his kids every day is circumstance. The intent is the same-- to harm others.

I told her there was a secret method to doing it - and there is - but my once nimble and agile fingers were unable to perform because I was under the influence.

I would laugh, not hate. I'm a male. :(

Since when was Ireland an island...? :wall:

I actually have a hobby of licking public toilet seats.

When I come home from work and my dog dances around with a huge smile on her face while I get her food. No matter how crappy of a day I've had it always makes me smile.

THE place for all free players to connect, hang out and talk about how awesome it is to be F2P.

So, Kaida is the real version of every fictional science-badass? That explains a lot, actually...

Packages. Getting packages in the mail. Even when I'm expecting it, for those brief 5 seconds to 1 minute of opening it, all is right in the world and I am alright with the world.

I was with my family today and my pop-pop told us a story. He had a flat tire going down the highway maybe 10 years ago and a strapping young lad stopped to help him out. He was about to report for duty at the semi-local military base, but stopped to help my pop-pop who was all grey haired and helpless. When he was done he saluted him and called him sir. My pop-pop was confused and said "I'm not even in uniform" and the Marine said "yes sir, but I can tell you once were". My pop-pop had the biggest sound of respect in his voice when he told this story. He served in WWII in the 83rd and 101st paratrooper divisions. He was once of the first waves to touch ground in Normandy, has a bronze star and 2 purple hearts. To hear him have such respect for this kid that helped him change his tire and salute him was really cool.

made me smile.

The fact that my self published book of pick up lines seems to have made it all the way to the Americas.

I noticed an unopened letter addressed to me on the cupboard. From Norway. Turns out I am legible for 1200€ of tax refund. Only that it is due to June-October, so I don't know exactly when I will get it. But such windfall is great.

So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends.

RPG is constantly dealing with psycho exes.

Muggi reminds us of the joys of polygamy.

Saq is totally oblivious to how much chicks dig him.

I strike out every other week.

Kalphite wages a war against the friend zone.

Randox pretty much stays rational.

Etc, etc

a misandrist libertarian (Lang). Honestly, dude, you've taken your usual brand of humor and upped the ante lately. I love laughing like a buffoon when I catch up on the Relationship and Today threads, especially when my initial intention was to rant about stupid crap.

Cheesy pop songs from your childhood. :D

Especially being in a room full of equally drunk people in their early twenties, and you're all dancing and singing to it.

You're obviously talking about the RuneScape OST, with its polyphonic tones and a new shuffle button placed in the playlist menu today.

Or quite possibly not...

(To be fair, there are some RuneScape tracks I really enjoy. It's one area where Jagex have really upped their game in recent years)

Even some of their old tracks are pretty good. I still really enjoy listening to some of the music around Lumbridge and Falador. It's so nostalgic.

Though, I still hate the POH theme and the GE theme. It's kind of like the biking/surfing themes in pokemon games: they're not necessarily bad, but you hear them so many times, you start to hate them.

Lol I agree. The playlist isn't big enough either! There's a few tracks I can't add but would like to.

Dogs, specifically when I see one being walked on the street. They are just so happy, I can't help but smile.

A sort of natural high after writing something I'm proud of, especially since I usually have next to no confidence in my work.

The fact that it's technically fanfiction only slightly dampens the mood.

Growing things. There's something quite magical seeing a flower in full bloom that you've grown from seed (IRL not farming skill lol).

Me too on the writing. Like finishing a research paper. So satisfying
