Da_Latios
I've confirmed that the Goliath Glove's invisible Strength bonus is +82, equivalent to wielding an Abyssal whip. I hit an orange 526 on the Decaying Avatar in the Dominion Tower with the gloves equipped.I had a Bandos Chestplate, Bandos Tassets, Amulet of Fury, Helm of Neitiznot, Dragon boots, Dragon Defender, Ring of Vigour and Goliath Gloves equipped. The total Strength bonus was 47. Using Tip.It's Max Hit Calculator, I confirmed this max hit to be an addition of +82 Strength over the initial 47 (129 total strength bonus equivalent). This is exactly the same as an abyssal whip, and so I conclude that the Goliath gloves give an invisible +82 Strength bonus when no weapon is equipped (this bonus stacks on top of the glove's current Strength bonus). Powerfrog
How is the accuracy though? Does it hit like a 48 crush weapon, or is it more accurate?
Da_Latios
How is the accuracy though? Does it hit like a 48 crush weapon, or is it more accurate? It feels much more accurate than +48. Considering the Strength bonus is the same, I'd take a guess and say that the attack bonus is also +82 (same as whip) but there's no way to say for sure. It's certainly much less accurate than a Chaotic rapier, though. Powerfrog
I guessed it would be. Someone told me it was more effective on nomad than a rapier once... But i don't know if he was exaggerating or plain lieing. I'm looking forward to getting a pair myself to test at waterfiends. even if they're whip accuracy and strength, they should be considerabley more DPS than a SS/Cmaul. gago
The problem about goliath gloves is you can't have more than 1 banked and they do not stack in the rewards interface in the tower. So everytime they disappear, you need to kill 5 bosses to get a new pair.Which makes them too annoying to use. Saradomin_Mage
They do stack, you can have up to 15 retrievals iirc. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
Powerfrog
That brings another question to mind. How long do they last? I've heard times from 1-5 hours... Even if it's 1 hour, 5 minutes of boss killing doesn't sound like a huge strain. Especially when you also get dreadnips for doing it.

It's interesting that it's +82, good to know. Thanks for finding out :). So the points don't go to waste. Dreadnips seem pretty powerful, so having a few 1000 stock should be useful to everyone :P
Jon Arcane
Ahhh good, felt they were good but not as good as I expected so started using the gloves to replace barrows gloves whilst still using a weapon. I was hoping the stat drops that all the gloves gave would make them better or rival chaotics but found that they haven't so far. Although these gloves in particular are probably far better than a chaotic maul when it comes to monsters weak against crush, that will probably be the only time I'll fight unarmed now.
