Diablo III

I am quite surprised that they implemented the patch so soon, with AH closing in a little under 3 weeks and RoS not until 25th. A friend owed me about 500m, I guess that's no returning of that sum...

Anyway, the items that are being dropped outclasses mediocre pre-patch items of the same level. And until RoS comes with the rerolling of stats, most supposed high-end gear will probably survive.

Gutted about lifesteal...and CM.

The legendary drop rates seems to have been improved, I had got 4-5 pieces of legendary upgrades since 2.0.1 patch, where before I'd be lucky to have 1 upgrade. The mobs seems to have been scaled a lot better than before.

Also, potions are much more useful now.

From what i have heard/read, there's no news on this patch coming out for Xbox/PS, but apparently a lot of the things this patch fixed was already in the console version.

I like the new Diablo 3 very much, though I am having a hell of a time equipping my Templar while playing my mage. Can't find quality strength gear to save my life. On the other hand, I've started accumulating useful legendary items, items that will be painful to replace. Of course, the day will come when I find something even better. Could really use some legendary chest armour though. Right now it's a belt and arm guard, and I think my templar is currently on his second legendary sword (it was a choice between bringing him up to my damage, or using a sword myself and doing 70% more damage. It was tough, but I am strong enough and he needed to be stronger). He never dies though, or even really takes damage. Uber tank.

That is the reason why i have been leveling my toons with the 50% xp bonus at the moment, it'll be easier as Barbarian to get a few Legendary strength shield drops than it probably would be for a mage to get a blue strength shield... Already finished Demon Hunter too.

You can also get from 1-60 in 1 single playthrough, but I had to use higher difficulty level (higher than hard) and a Signet of Leoric to do that. Having higher paragon level (with levels in the primary stats) helping quite a bit.

Yes, they modified the type of stats rolled on the items dropped depending on your class. I think that is rather nice..I used to get all these barb belts that are totally useless for me - I only have a ranged barb.

The LS change made life difficult on T4+ against Siegebreaker.

Got to keep in mind that when RoS gets released, the current legendary items (i60) would become obsolete fairly soon...so I wouldn't dwell too much on the drops unless you get some OP class specific stats like Kridershot for DH.

Enjoy the last week of AH =]

RoS...so much fun. Lvl 60 legendary gears as expected, become gradually useless...mediocre ones are even surpassed by magic gear as soon as lvl 61. Fights are challenging especially if you are under-geared. Blood shards are pretty much useless from the bounties though. A5 took around 8 hrs for me in party of 4 on master...as an indicator.

To anyone yet to play a5, turn up the graphics and enjoy.

I hate how all previous gems suck after level 60. Also its now possible to go 1-70 in an hour by doing t6 torment quests

Got all classes to 70. Working on gearing my Witch Doctor and Wizard until 2.1, really looking forward to seasons.

When you got RoS, what exactly happened to characters that had paragon levels?

You keep the paragon levels, you just stop gaining XP in them until you hit 70.

2.0.6 was released today, monks got a huge buff on their main set by x30. Crafting legendary's has also been made easier as they have removed the legendary drop requirement. All old materials are now grey items worth 50k gold that can be sold to the vendor. Death's Breath, Veiled Crystals and Arcane dust are still required to craft however.

I found it really strange how the PC monk seemed so bad (heard a lot of people on youtube/forums complaining about it), but on console i find it to be one of the better builds.

Because they patch the PC version weekly to monthly whereas the console is lucky to get a patch.

Idk if that's a good thing or a bad thing to be honest. I feel like for the most part Console is decently balanced except for the Demon Hunter. It's just never going to be as good as a decent Witch Doctor or decent Barbarian. It's actually gotten to the point where my WD and Barb are so much better than any of the other three that i have considered abandoning them and just sticking to the two. The barbarian is just an absolute tank the way i have it built now. With 80k HP, 521k sheet dps, 60% CC and 607% CD i can stand there spamming HotA and pretty much not worry about dying. I've gone up to Master 3 which i think is MP8 and it's been a breeze. Been thinking about trying out Master 5, although i'm sure it won't be too much of an issue.

I was trying to check the true dps of it earlier and it was around the 3m mark, which i think is pretty solid for console standards, especially with unmodded gear.

On PC I'm sitting at 1.05M sheet on my WD and I still only do low torments because it's simply faster rift farming. Sounds like I need to build a tank for higher torments.

EDIT: Was doing some T3 on my WD and got Mask of Jeram with 81% pet damage and Zuni 3 piece set offhand dropped. All i need is boots for fetish army till dead set bonus and ill have a pet build.

Yes, I find t3/t4 to be about the optimal difficulty in terms of time spent and the increased xp/gold. 10 mins clear is probably as long as you want for a rift...even then it depends on mob density..some maps are awesome like the quasi a1 prison, but others like quasi a2 sewers are terrible.

If you are in a decent party, you can get away with 1.5-2m toughness on up to t5 (as a DH - I'm sure if it can be done on DH, it's definitely possible on the other classes as well)..provided there's a capable crowd controller in the party. That's what I usually do when I run my L4N/Mara DH.

Yeah and WD with harvester is insanely awesome against any group. Tasker and Theo gloves are quite good in pets build as well.

'Decent' DH even without 6 pc mara, or massive disc reservoir, or something like endless CA (with post 1.0.4 DML/SOJ) can be really good too..provided of course you know how to stutter-step, time your SS, positioning and etc.

Nerf hammer coming to most DH in the proposed 2.1.0 patch. Where they say promote build diversity, they are actually doing the opposite.

Seasons looked to be as expected - they need something to challenge PoE after all (although as a PoE player as well, it doesn't provide sufficient incentive to switch).

New changes to rifts are always nice.

They are also changing a set effects I think...including the Shadow Bane set, the Firebird set and the monk one (whatever it's called).

Slightly annoyed.

Past few days i've been playing online a bit. Farming with some randoms. It's been fun, but frustrating. Frustrating because can sometimes take a while to find a lobby of players that aren't using modded gear (basically giving them insane DPS meaning they 1shot anything, which ultimately takes the fun out of everything). But over the past few days i've manage to trade some of the stuff i no longer needed for a few upgraded. And then today..... i noticed that some of the stuff i traded weren't actually legit items. Some of it was modded. Slightly, but enough to bother me. At this point i couldn't really remember exactly what i had traded and what i didn't so i ended up having to dump the majority of my gear. Kind of frustrating. Lost probably 20 - 30% DPS on all classes. Not a major issue on Console, but still a bit frustrating. Makes soloing Master 5 pretty much impossible.

EDIT: Well that was pretty quick. Managed to get a few decent items yesterday. Wizard is almost back to where he was, DH back to where he was. Monk is actually a bit better off now. WD is around back to where he was. Even managed to pick up an item that might be useful for when i get RoS. Barbarian... well he's improved greatly. Almost double the DPS i had before.

Changed my Barbarian build completely. It's actually a really fun build to run now. Focuses on buffs pretty much and i have Wrath of the Berserker (Insanity) in my back pocket for Elites/Bosses. Previously my Barbarian was sitting at around 700k DPS buffed and now it's at around 1300k Buffed which is pretty damn good considering i've not seen anyone else higher than around 900k (unless they're using modded gear). My CC and CD sitting at 84.50% and 620% respectively.

It's pretty damn fun. Melting face.

Yesterday we received our first update in probably 6 months (i'm not 100% sure). They finally did something to take care of some of the modded items in the game. After the update i layed a few games online and it was kind of funny to see how many people with ridiculously low DPS there were. I played with about 20 different people ranging from Paragon 1 - 60 (that was the highest i encountered) and none of them had over 250k Sheet DPS. Usually at least 1 in 5 people i played with would have at least above 500k. One of the guys i played a few games with over the past few weeks had a Monk sitting at 1.7m Sheet DPS unbuffed. He swore on his life that his items were all legit (1.7m DPS for a Monk on Console is very....unlikely). Played a game with him yesterday after patch and his DPS was down to 115k. Was hilarious to hear the excuses he was coming up with when i asked him what happened to all his gear.

Felt good still having all my gear, still having at least 500k DPS on every character.

It's just under 2 weeks till UEE release date though, and a lot of people are still asking questions that have still not been answered. People concerned about post-launch support. Apparently there was a Gamespot Q&A stream and all the questions asked and answered were questions already answered 100 times before. Honestly, if the game comes out semi-balanced, i don't really care for post-launch support. I'm happy they took some steps towards cleaning the game up in terms of modded gear.

No modded gear on PC version. I doubt they will fix it on consoles.

That's because there's no way to mod it on PC. On console its easy. Save game on USB, use whatever software you need, transfer it back to console.

Apparently with Xbox One there's no way to do this though. And when UEE is released they're planning on taking further steps to prevent modding.

In yesterday's Q&A stream one of the Devs mentioned that it's impossible for them to completely stop modding because consoles can play offline, but they'll do what they can to prevent it online.

Step in the right direction.

Got RoS last week, been working on finishing my WD build. Finally managed to do it today.

Dog, Gargantuan, and Fetish Army with Tall Man's Finger and Zuni Set bonus.

The DPS is just stupidly insane.
