Does GE have the 4h limit?

It still exists, but in a slightly different form.

Before you couldn't buy and sell one type of item at the same time, now you can.

Before the x/4 hour limit was a hard limit, now you can buy the limit, and then sell those x again at a higher price, and now it will reset your limit so you can buy another x immediately.

To add to this, a little tidbit of info that many people don't know:

The buy limit after you sell the item is equal to the number of items you sell. So if you can buy 25k yews/4h normally, you can increase that to a higher number by buying lots of an item over a long time and selling it at once.

Example:

I was away for 3 days this summer, so I stuck an offer in the GE for yews. Over the 3 days I bought ~500k yews. Then when I returned I sold them all and spent a few hours flipping with a 500k buy limit instead of the normal 25k. It doesn't really help if you're just looking to buy/sell in small amounts, but if you have large amounts of GP, the extra high buy limit helps quite a bit.

^ To explain further, it works on a basic math principle.

You start at 0.

Buying adds to this

Selling subtracts.

Yew buy limit is 25k

This means at +25k you get locked out of buying.

However if you have say 30k yews and sell them you'd get to -5k

This is where your buy limit gets stretched as you are sub zero, -5k to +25k is a 30k difference.

But this "abuse" as it were is limited as the 4 hour ge limiter will still tick by and on the 4 hour mark reset you to zero, nullifying you're expanded buying range; and of course this only works if you have an excess to begin with.

The basic math applies to normal flipping thought, you can buy 25k yews and hit limit, but as soon as u sell 25k yews you can buy 25k more.
