I had the same problem edited the surrounding character in Paint but couldn't find out how to make it transparent.However on the 1st page of this thread Tiigon posted how to do it in the program GIMP. So, I just googled and downloaded GIMP, and followed his tutorial. Hedgehog will do it for you, but it's always good to learn these things for maybe other projects.
