A Few Questions

Recommended Posts

1. When Slaying with a Rapier what will give me a high dps, a Fire Cape or Ardougne Cape 3?

2. How many Prayer pots (4) need to be in your inventory before the Holy Wrench becomes useful?

3. Can anyone give an estimate on how long it would take to get 205900 credits and 300 Ranking at Mobilising Armies?

4. On crush weak monsters like Black Demons and Waterfiends is the Maul really better than the Rapier? (On task)

Thanks in advanced!

1. Fire Cape

2. At 73 prayer you gain 252 prayer points per dose, 1008 per potion and as far as I can remember a holy wrench adds an additional 20 or so prayer points per dose. You can work it out that it's really not worth the space for normal slayer, especially since prayer potions aren't too exspensive.

3. I (think) the max amount of ranks you can gain per hour is 12, but I may be wrong.

4. I would definitly say stick to rapier for black demons, but since I haven't tested it myself I am not sure how effective it is at waterfiends. What I have heard, but not tested, is that at maxed combats plus extremes it can be comparable/better than a chaotic maul.

Sorry I couldn't be anymore specific, but hope it helps.

Slayer; it's just what I do.

For question 4:

Rapier>maul at fiends.

People always assume otherwise due to the whole crush thing, but as the stats on chaotics are so high the fiends defence becomes a non-issue; so rapiers speed means it yields higher dps than maul.

For 3 yes it is capped at 12 ranks an hour maximum, your average suicider gains around 10 an hour, so at least 30 hours.

For 2, if you have the inventory space, bring it.. but you can probably pick up a drop that would be worth more than the money that wrench saves you.

For 3, you should gamble the max amount each time you suicide and that way you don't have to worry about having enough reward credits once you hit 300. You should end up with over 2m reward creds after hitting 300.

You'd be annoyed if you lost your zerker (i) and had to suicide for a couple of hours to get more reward credits. And besides, you may want to imbue some other rings.

Working on max and completionist capes.

1 is fire, 2 is worth it if you can spare space (even if you don't carry more pray pots it's still cheaper).

3 is 25 hours, but after you reach the 12 ranks/hr cap you can go do something else for a while if you got the ranks quickly - do some bank skill at the MA bank.

4, black demons aren't crush weak for starters, and rapier ~= maul for waterfiends. It depends on your stats and whether you are on task or not, I think your attack level is a tad low for rapier to be better.

Maul is good for WFs, and tasks where your cannon does most of the work, such as Aberrant Spectres, Hellhounds, Mutated Bloodvelds, and Dagannoths.

Really? Cause as I recall it was you who was the one cussing me at base. Also, re-read what you just said: one 15 second delay (which is an exaggeration to begin with) ruins floor times? You are beyond ridiculous.

No. Rapier is still better for velds, dags and hellhounds. For spectres it depends a bit on what spawn rate you get. If you have to run around a lot, cls or maul could be better, but that requires a low population world.
