Kalphite
Personally I thought the new Muse trailer was shit, but they stopped being relevant to me after how much I hated the Resistance. Sort of enthused about the 2nd Law (Muse) but not thrilled with the trailer. The first single off it is pretty good though. Considered Some Nights but got Aim & Ignite instead. I am partial to We are Young though. I think ? Snow Patrol had a new album out earlier this year, I've got it and it's great. Otherwise it's their most recent one. Next time I've got Amazon cards I'll get Foxy Shazam though. Like their stuff a lot. You made the right choice on the fun. album; despite what I said in the OP Some Nights wore off as fast as it grew on me and I can't really listen to anything off of it anymore. Aim and Ignite is one of my favorite albums though. And for Foxy Shazam, if you don't have any of their stuff I'd recommend the self-titled before their new album. Church of Rock and Roll is still good, but anything from the self-titled shits all over it. As for this year so far, there's been some great stuff released, but nothing that's absolutely blown me away yet. If any of you are fans of jazz, Niechec put out a pretty great album this year:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw4aHvdN9Jw&feature=related Also, for those of you into more traditional rock, Make Do and Mend also released a pretty great album. Really reminds me of Hot Water Music.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=666SbK1VIFk I have a lot more stuff I could post but I'll save it for later, lol. nine naked men
Skelethon came out about a month ago and after listening to it a whole bunch, I can pretty safely say album of the year. Or at least rap album of the year. (disclaimer I have not listened to a whole bunch of albums released this year) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pDWZw39j3MY sleep like dead men wake up like dead men

Have you heard the new Killer Mike or El-P albums though? Both are fantastic hip-hop albums from this year; 2012's been pretty great for the genre. Definitely going to check out the rest of Skelethon now though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V6G1cLYoivQhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI8rgU_ZY60

Kalphite
Haha, I'm a bit of a fanboy but damn "We Drift Like Worried Fire" is such a fantastic song... I'd be seeing them live sunday but I don't have any friends that listen to them and can go to a concert on a schoolnight. (For the sake of those who havent heard it:)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Szh9E13fedI
Hedgehog
Apparently Klaxons plan to release an album this year/early next year. Amplifier should also be releasing one in January (their first with the legendary Steve Durose): Echo Street - 55 minutes approx Between Today And YesterdayEcho StreetExtra VehicularMary RoseMatmosNever And AlwaysParis In The SpringThe Wheel Mastering this week. Probably our best album.
Kalphite
I remember hearing some Klaxons single when I was in like seventh grade but I don't remember anything about them except that they had strange music videos. New Tony Danza Tapdance Extravaganza album might be tied with new Converge for best heavy album of the year.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36NNnUbMQY0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrcY9I-BbjM
Plugpoint
The new HalfNoise EP is fantastic - it's the new band of Zac Farro (ex-Paramore drummer) but it sounds nothing like them, it's quite heavily influenced by bands like Sigur Ros and múm. Can't wait to hear more. Maxed 15/06/
