Lord Paul
They are weak to quite a few different styles.. I'd go with whip. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
Quyneax
Whip is best, but they aren't weak to it particularly, it's just the best weapon. Their true weakness is magic but you don't have access to any good magic weapons. AuroraVids
They are generally weak to Dark/Silverlight, Magic, and Slash. Slash is pretty good especially if you're training melee, as you can use both the Abyssal Whip (for Attack and Defence training), or the Saradomin Sword (Strength training). Jadinko
Looks like you need to train your strength up a bit too, so try out the brackish blade. Miseryism | Completionist
Tui
Demons are weak to stab, not slash. (And magic + silver/darklight.) But overworld demons have so little defense in general that your best weapon will always be the best choice. I.e. whip, or chaotic rapier. And obviously whip on controlled is more efficient than training str with a bad weapon.
Powerfrog
They're weak to stab (and magic). Whip is still better than brackish though as the extra strength and accuracy makes the small defensive difference trivial. Black demons have incredibly low defense for their combat level for all styles so it really boils down to just using the best weapon. And obviously whip on controlled is more efficient than training str with a bad weapon. That's highly debatable, possibly true but never 'obviously'. The extra strength levels would quickly make you deal more DPS with brackish blade than you previously did with whip, whereas the attack and defense levels from whip would do very little to improve DPS. Dire_Wolf
They are weak to holy water and magic. Their defence is very weak to melee and ranged as well too.
blakdragon39
http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Black_demon According to this page, they're weak to slash, not stab. And I used to hally them with stab all the time, because it trained controlled. But I tried hallying them with slash, and I feel like it was definitely better. I feel like RSWiki is pretty accurate.. Quyneax
RSwiki is almost always inaccurate if not outright wrong on these things. Personally I think it's likely black demons are only weak to magic (and holy water, darklight etc. but those are so weak). Care to provide proof? =\ If this is true, I'll take it less seriously in future. But if this is just a personal opinion, I'll probably keep referring to RSWiki in future. Quyneax
In the dungeoneering monsters list, it says hobgoblins are weak to water spells and a bunch of skeletons weak to fire spells, which is not true as far as I know (and water surge is not faster than prom 2h for sure). Also, before I fixed it, it recommended a dragon (or rune) halberd for fighting black dragons. Stupid mistakes like these basically mean that you have to cross-reference with at least once other source when using RSwiki.
