Which Slay task to range and Melle

Hello Tip it community, i am currently doing alot of slaying and i have maxed out my attack and strength, and mage. Currently all thats left is Range and defenece. Range being 92, and Def being 88. I would like to get them both 99 at generally the same time, so im wondering what slay task are recommended to range and which are recommended to melle. Something may want to note is that i am only going to cannon kaphites and dags, so dont recommend cannon every task or something.

Lastly, what is the current best ranging methods, ive only come back like 3 weeks ago or so, so im certain my methods are a bit outdated, thanks a bunch. Hope no one complains over my grammar and stuff.

Last question, which task are recommended to ban? The four ive banned so far are...

waterfiend(dont want to raise str)

Living rock creature (too high defence)

Terror dogs(too far)

Mutated jadinko( can only kill baby so dont think worth it)

Living rock creatures have nno defense. Mauls can train any stat so your issue there is moot. Terrordogs are an easy points task if you unlock slayer rings.

 

As far as ranging goes, there aren't any tasks that are worth it. Melee everything (apparently pps is comparable to melee at miths/steels). Its not worth dramatically slowing down slayer xp, so melee past max cb and chin for 99 range.

thanks for advice, i was kinda thinking what yur were saying about the ranging. But i was just hoping some task were better to range, oh well. Are terror dogs good task btw? In terms of drops and exp? drop wise it dosnt look very profitable.

At those stats, the fastest way to 99 both would be meleeing every task on defensive and cannoning as many tasks as you need. I really really recommend cannoning hellhounds (same as kalphites) and suqah (again, same as kalphites).

 

If you don't want to cannon, the best tasks to range are the ones with the lowest defence. Those are living rock creatures, greaters in Kuradal's (darts + fero), gargoyles too probably (but those are a good block), nechs can be chinned (red chins not grey), black demons etc.
