xByrdman
I've been seeing a ton of temple trekking threads lately and I was wondering if it actually fun or if all the threads are because of the Morytania tasks? I know "fun" and Runescape don't always go together but do you find Temple Trekking a good break from grinding levels? If so any pointers for someone who doesn't even know where you start it at? Haha Edit: if it means anything I do find some of the mini games fun like Barbarian Assault and an occasional game of Pest Control or conquest
J35u5_M4
Well, I tried it out for tasks, and maxed it out already, I've got to say... It's fun at its times but when you get to level the hard companions, it just made me wanna kill myself. Why don't you test it out?
xByrdman
I think I will but I didn't want I waste an hour if you guys could just tell me how awful it is. Should I do the seergaze quest so I can unlock vyrewatches?
Lord Paul
Well it's kind of hard to tell you what is fun. The majority of players hate runecrafting, but I kind of enjoy it. I actually hate slayer. But, the general consensus is that Temple Trekking sucks and can be uttered in the same breath as Livid Farm and the likes. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475

I'm looking for a mini game or diversion to do every few hours of training just to keep it fresh any suggestions?

Gugge
I found it fun until getting the last 15 levels of the 2 hard companions. Then it was just repetitive. Please think before you ask a question. If you ask the right question, its much more likely you get the answer you are looking for :)
Sinkhan
I personally enjoyed it the entire way though, if only being purely sustained on the pure taste of ecstasy I get when I get nail beasts :ohnoes: It's kinda varied which keeps it a little less repetitive than other minigames. Plus the rewards are decent. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug

cowmaster187
i am about 94 lvls from being done, the hard ones are being a pain but the rest were pretty fun ~~~legoman187~~~ Clicky siggy for blogThanks Pendonub for fancy new sigThieving guide[WIP]Loyal player since May 2005 and member since November 2005 and Tifer for many years~~~legoman187~~~
muggiwhplar
I enjoyed it a lot for the most part. However, certain factors definitely influenced the fun factor: + Having a maxed blisterwood weapon: no need to pick up corpses; fun to breeze through juvinate and vyrewatch events+ Training the easy/medium followers: they level up quickly and help fight+/- Summoning level: talon beasts events are "better" when you need their charms; at 99 summoning the event is kind of a "waste," though you no longer have to pick up anything- Training the hard followers: they don't attack and level slowly; boring+ Watching movies/TV shows while trekking: makes the boring/tedious aspects a lot more tolerable (much like the majority of RS activities)
transcript80
I like it thus far... As I like to train different skills/activities at the same time (efficiency -> not really), I have fun since I: *Pick up vyrewatch corpses to enhance the pole arm + work on Morytania task as well*Get charms for summoning*Pick up shades to either burn or sell*Get snake hides when I have the space, they sell nicely*get snail shells for additional xp*The rewards are quite ok, I need xp in all the skills since I have no 99s except foarming. But I have to admeit, I'm half way to levelling both hard companions, and it's quite slow. I took a break a week ago, but I might be able to finish them quite soon. After that, I'll kill the remainder of the 200 vyres required for the bloom task. Other data was removed when acoount got hacked...
aeryn11
Its definately better than the old Temple Trekking :^_^: I am close to maxing all the characters out, it got a little addictive, once they started leveling. lol
xByrdman
I'm not really planning on maxing it out or anything just something to do every so often but from what in gathering it's fun for the vast majority of it, decent rewards, and possible profit? I'm still wondering if it's necessary or recommended to do legacy of seergaze to unlock vyrewatches and are the Blisterwood weapons the preferred weapons? Could i do it effectively with my combat stats? Stats are in the sig
Weiyao
I have slightly higher combats stats than you do (melee wise) and I find it to be fine. You may have some trouble with like snail events or something where you can get slightly overwhelmed on the hard path but prayer means that you should only have to worry about your companion (if it is a hard one, Rolayne is particularly horrible since he runs and attacks them when above level 20 unless you block him or draw aggro). Especially if you are not just there to train up the companions, I find trekking to be very fun since you're probably not going to be frustrated by the slow levelling. I wouldn't personally unlock vyrewatch just yet, it's not too great killing them with the ivandis flail (compared to a blisterwood weapon) and you are quite a ways off levels to the Branches of the Darkmeyer (51-76 woodcutting for one and your crafting level too) quest. Yea the wc levels would be fairly quick but I don't have the money to sink into crafting
Contractor
I need to finish leveling the two hard ones to get my comp cape back. It's really a pain, I enjoyed the easy and medium ones though.
xByrdman
Does the constructors outfit improve the xp of const a decent amount? I need to work on it anyways but should I wait till I have the outfit?
transcript80
No it doesn't. I think 2,5% with the full outfit. If you "only" go for 99, the increase is not too great. That being said, you'll get it from temple trekking, which you need to finish anyway for tasks/completionist/whatever sake, you when you get it, you might as well use it.
