Aegis aura and dominion tower

Hey,

I've been saving up my loyalty point, in 18 days time when i get the next batch of loyalty points i'll be able to buy aegis aura, i have checked on tif. There's two conflicting info.

 

Items database:

- reduces damage taken taking in account of your defence level.

- lasts for 30 mins

- 5 hours to recharge

 

Loyalty page(tipit)

- reduces damage

- lasts for 30 mins

- 3 hours to recharge

 

I was wondering if anyone here has that aura and could tell me which is the case, 3 hours to recharge or 5 hours.

 

I would also like to know if it is all damage recieved in the 30 mins period or some damage get reduced?

 

Does anyone know how much the aegis aura reduces damage by for 99 def for instance?

 

Can anyone tell me if auras work in dominion tower, i can't test it for myself atm.

The damage reduction is stated by Jagex to be a maximum of 10%, probably for the whole 30 mins, and it scales with your defence level - though we don't know by what factor.

We also don't yet know how it stacks with the divine/elysian shields or not, and whether it reduces un-typed damage or not

 

I can't see why it wouldn't work in the Dominion tower. I don't think anyone ingame currently owns the aura, so its hard to know much about it really :(

As for the recharge, it should be whatever it is stated as ingame - Edit: Loyalty shop says 5hr recharge

Thanks for the reply, hmm the damage reduction is 10%, that isn't as great as i would have thought for that price. Well every bit will help toward defeating sunfreet and helping me complete dominion tower....
