aeryn11
Hi Guys, Silly question for you, I have soloed most of my levels for dungeoneering, now I have some high level friends grouping with me, I know the fact they are 87+ in duneoneering and 128 combat (lowest) will affect the npc's, but what kind of melee Armour would I be best to bind? I just did a large dungeon with them and didn't hit for much of anything. I want to ensure I have the best stuff bound I can at my level so I help more than I feel I did this time around. though they tell me they are happy to support me and get me levels/xp, they are still training themselves so I want to feel I did my bit. :???: Thanks
Sy_Accursed
Generally speaking the two binds people should have at that stage are:1) Best 2-h sword you can use, so with level 80's that would be Gorgonite.2) Shadow Silk Hood, but this can take a while to get so in the mean time you should have best plate body you can (in your case gorgonite again) Of course there are other routes to go, but these are the average joe binds. As for ammo bind there's more options going, but I believe the best choices are to have laws bound or a celestial surgebox (once you find one) Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills :: Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA RewardsDragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue
Octarine
The best bet for you is to bind a Gorg 2h and Gorg plate, breaking plate for hood if you find one eventually. Upgrade your berzerker ring to around tier 5 or 6 and use agressive style to make the most of your 2h bind Crush and slash weaknesses are very important in DG, which could be why you haven't been hitting that well. Most skeletons, hobgoblins, earth warriors, high level ghosts, fire giants and such should be crushed, other things should be slashed - though experiment with changing styles if you don't seem to be hitting too well, most weaknesses are logical Ninja'd by Sy :P Since you're 70 rc you should bind a csb whenever you find it, use mage on high tier melee skeletons, forgotten warriors, brutes, anything with very high melee defence (except bats) Blog of DG, Bossing (mostly Glacors) and stuff - Runetrack Play Safe! - Got useful information for the tip.it website? Quest_Cape_K
If you want to get a Shadow Silk Hood fast then you can just constantly do a solo medium floor of the abandoned set I think, the high abandoned.
aeryn11
Thanks guys, my group did mention something about getting me a hood but it was lost on me, :-D now I know what they mean rofl. I'll sort my binds out for a gorg 2h and platebody next time I'm in. Appreciate the help :^_^:
Quyneax
If you want to get a Shadow Silk Hood fast then you can just constantly do a solo medium floor of the abandoned set I think, the high abandoned. Not really worth hood hunting though. Plate + 2h is the best two-bind setup for xp gain. Primal battleaxe beats promethium 2h however (primal 2h beats primal baxe). When you get your third bind, the best setup is, in order: hex/plate/2h/arrows > blood neck/plate/2h/csb > hood/plate/2h/csb > gauntlets/plate/2h/csbYou are very lucky if you find blood necklace or hex before 100 dungeoneering. So if you find a hood, you can accept the lesser xp up to level 100 to get better xp past level 100. Toad
worth noting too as you're 70 slayer, your chances of getting a hex/blood neck are slimmer than a runway model
aeryn11
Rofl  what Slayer level do you recommend Toad? this said I do plan to get all skills to at least 80.
Lord Paul
Ideally you'd want 99 slayer, or the ability to pot to 99. But if you aren't playing with other high level slayers, then it doesn't really matter. Working on max and completionist capes. 2435/2475
aeryn11
So i got a surge box in a dungeon run with a friend and bound it. If I add runes to it will these stay bound as well?? or is that pushing my luck rofl
Octarine
Yes the runes stay bound :) 125 casts maximum or 225 if you've done salt in the wound. You might have to "re-bind" the surgebox once you've added runes, there should be an option on the right-click on it. Will H
worth noting too as you're 70 slayer, your chances of getting a hex/blood neck are slimmer than a runway model  Having 73 Slayer didn't stop me from getting a Blood Necklace though, so don't completely dismiss the possibility. :P That said, I got mine because the person who got the drop didn't need it (he had a hex), and I won a coin toss. Basically, don't rely your short-term plans on getting one. ~ W ~
