Professional Skiller - 50M Farming, 60M Rcing, and Re-Comp!

Defiantly, I've heard of numbers up to 200k slayer experience an hour XD, each kill gives 14k experience XD

 

Discovered that I enjoy Fight Cauldron this weekend and spent some hours there training attack, collecting the 20k slayer lamps, and getting enough shards for like 10 sets of obsidian armor. I never managed to get into the 500k attack experience an hour that I've heard of but I averaged right around 400k an hour with drygore maces and obsidian armor (along with about 2 lamps an hour too). This also means that I love Tzhaar tasks now.

 

Besides a few hours at Fight Cauldron I've been sticking pretty heavily to slayer. Today I've passed the 44M mark. With the barrage nerf, I've gone to using abilities on almost every task now and with that I've also switched to using a Chaotic Staff. Typically I'm maging ~85% of my tasks and using drygore makes on the rest. Honestly like my mage ability rotation better and the fact I don't have to run up to monsters to hit them. I'd love to finish off 50M slayer before the new skill drops and I'm considering sticking with slayer past 50M too right now, since I'm enjoying it and its fairly profitable.

 

I've set a few tasks aside where I make money off them and the rest of my tasks I basically power slay and don't even look at the drops. Typically I aim to make money off of Ice Worms, Ganos, Black Dragons (QBD), and Automons. I've nearly profected my QBD stratiegy now so I actually make a decent amount. The rest of the tasks I just power through with abilities and with abilities I don't use near as many runes anymore. My current stack of 10k Bloods and 100k Fires has lasted nearly 3 days now, where before I used upwards of 30k Bloods a day.

The task of 49 QBD turned quite profitable:

 

 

 

Along with 2 effigies as well. I averaged right at 14 kills an hour so that makes right at 4M an hour with that haul. Ironically after that task, I cancealed a task of mutated jadinkos and got 89 QBD right back. Makes like a whole day of QBD (49+89 QBD = ~10 hours). Loving the profit still though XD

This might sound dumb, but do you mean you love Tzhaar because of the obby armour? Or do the Fight Cauldron dudes count toward Slayer tasks? o.O Because, if they did, I'd be all over that shizzle.

Truthfully I sucked my first 20-30 QBD kills too, alot. Was to the point I was using upwards of ~50 rocktails for 4-5 kills. I changed from full subj to gano top and legs (+subj boots/gloves) and changed my ahrim's wand and book to a chaotic staff. My first few dozen kills I also used momentum. Getting a good ability rotation, plus the extra power and armor really made the difference for me. Along with that, it is a lot about experience. After 50 kills I finally had a rhythm to my kills and then I was able to start doing hour inventories etc.

Been a few days since I updated, but sadly no new pictures to share that are that interesting :P.

 

I've passed 47M slayer experience and 60M magic experience. I should be able to finish out 50M slayer with a week or so. I'm considering continuing on with slayer to 200M currently. I've been enjoying it and its actually been decently profitable (mainly from QBD, Ice worms, Ganos, and Automons). Will have to see what I feel like once I get 50M slayer I suppose.

 

Besides that I've finally started doing warbands and have to say I enjoy them, very quick experience without much hassle. I've splitting between farming and mining experience from there. I know farming is a horrible choice, efficiency wise, but I'm no model of efficiency (I was a member of Reign of Terror for 6 months and Wicked Fury for 2+ years, so plenty of nonskilling for me). I like the boost to my daily farming gains, and 200M farming seems like a good long term goal.

Well my last update was pretty boring without pictures so I made sure to get a few for this one :D!

 

I've been keeping to the no lifing of slayer this week and I'm currently about 500k away from 50M (49M pic below). I originally planned to get 50M today but I didn't happen to get on that early in the day, I've had quite a few "boss" tasks (and while I enjoy them, they aren't the hardcore slayer exp and hour), and the wife wanted some time today XD (they are exp waste, stay away). So with all that 50M slayer is planned for tomorrow.

 

 

Here are some pictures of my Slayer travels the last few days. I've started doing Zammy gwd for almost all my greater tasks. I've duoed it a few times, but mostly soloed (duo with friends that happen to have greater task too). For Zammy I typically take 1 hour trips (12 overload doses) and usually that puts me right around the ~130-150 kill range for the task. The boss and 2 of the generals count for the greater demon task so all and all the task usually takes 2 whole trips of about 2 hours. I plan to work that down to 1 trip with a bit more experience there and possibly when I unlock sea singer robes. Currently I'm doing all my tasks in full virtus (plus slayer helm of course :P).

Today I finally experimented with Arma gwd too. I originally planned to solo mage the task, but just so happened a friend came up with an avian task too so we duoed. Maging Arma didn't do horribly. You without a doubt have to pray range instead of soul split, but then with some rocktails and vampirism aura it is very doable to do with an hour trip. I plan to add Arma gwd to my normal rotation now. I've been lucky with drops lately too, heres some loot pics:

Not just positive where I'm headed next with my goals. Most likely 50M farming is in the near future (6.4M away and daily tree runs). As it sits 50M Fishing is most likely next on the horizon, even though I've had a hard time finding a rhythm with fishing. I don't enjoy long days of c2 fishing nor do I care for rocktails. I'll likely end up barbarian fishing with a mix of fish flingers (I still have ~12 tickets and usually get quite a few fishing trout/salmon if I choose that path).

 

RS3 is tomorrow, which could mean big changes or maybe nothing much at all. Tomorrow could change my whole outlook on the time table of my current goals. Will have to wait and see. I am also considering continuing on towards 200M slayer currently. I love mage slaying and as it sits I'll hit 200M slayer right around the same time as 200M defense and 200M magic (about a 10 mil lead on magic and 3M lead on defense with similar gains each day). I'm not entirely ready to commit to the 200M slayer goal though, so will have to give it more time on finalizing that goal.

So I've done some fishing until the music tracks were fixed and I could finally get my comp cape back. After that its been pretty much slayer for me. I'm still really enjoying the skill and the random fun it brings.

Pretty much allows me to see clan chat, a guest clan chat, and either a friends chat or pms. Along with that I can see my prayer book/magic book/summon interface while still seeing my bag. Pretty happy with it honestly. I did do a few random testings. One of which was to see if you could make the grave interface larger (died at the end of a black demon task on purpose to see and their was a low level ranger there, bet he was entertained XD).

 

The best thing so far slaying has been this imp champ scroll while getting kc for zammy (for greater demons) XD, got a bit of rage trimmed friends who hated this scroll:

For a change, I'm actually having decent effigy luck. I've been continuing with recording my tasks and skipped tasks as well, even though I've not posted an updated one in awhile. I use short hand when getting tasks so I don't spend 5 minutes writing out each task I get so takes a bit of time to actually go through and type everything out. I've past the 1500 task mark and sometime when I'm fishing I'll make it look pretty and post it :P, maybe next update.

Been quite awhile since I updated and its been partly because I've been lazy and partly because I'm not had a definite focus. I managed 20 hours of torture at GOP for my full Master Runecrafting Robes, which was just horrible, but glad I have it. It looks amazing and after 200M RC I'll likely keepsake it. I was considering 200M RC as a major goal currently, but with the new skill on the horizon I didn't want to start completely on a new 200M just yet.

 

A few days I got the urge to mine at LRC (I dunno why) but I've actually been enjoying superheating and dropping the bars there and I'll likely be headed towards 50M mining and smithing now (until the new skill and depending on how I like it I may get 50M/200M in it first or just 99 then head back to mining/smithing).

Plan is to aim for 99 right away. If I like the skill I may continue onwards to 50M and if I really enjoy it maybe 200M. But one step at a time. I won't be in the race for first to 99 by any means, I cannot do 20 hour days (wife aggro) but I should be able to put in pretty steady 10 hour days for the first week before I begin working next week :D

Spending today mainly runecrafting, ready for div!!

 

Plan is to aim for 99 right away. If I like the skill I may continue onwards to 50M and if I really enjoy it maybe 200M. But one step at a time. I won't be in the race for first to 99 by any means, I cannot do 20 hour days (wife aggro) but I should be able to put in pretty steady 10 hour days for the first week before I begin working next week :D

Sooooo... I complained that the day after divination was released I started my new job.  Pretty much been living at this place the past 3 months :s. Averaging 60 hour weeks. I'm enjoying the work as a chemist, but I miss my scaping :(.

 

I usually get about 3-4 hours of divination in a day at my current pace. Which will hopefully get my 99 divination within ... sometime. Getting four days off for thanksgiving so will hopefully have a few gains to post, for the first time in a long time XD.

Poor you :( At least the end is in sight, with Thanksgiving you should be able to hit 99 (or close in on it!)

Slower progress due to spending 2 days with family. But finally got 96 divination. Plan to get halfway to 97 or so before I head back to work Monday. I also finished up all the newer quests. Only thing left for recomp is dungeoneering tasks and 99 div.
