SHIPPOU
I was recently in the book store, and noticed that there were 2 Runescape books on the shelves ( http://www.amazon.com/RuneScape-Betrayal-T-S-Church/dp/1848567227 - http://www.amazon.com/RuneScape-Return-Canifis-Runescape-2/dp/1848567278 ) . I bought them, and have read one, and 3/4 done with the other one. For those of you that have read them, what do you think of the stories and the way it's written ? ********** One of the old guard of RS. The_Gabe
Should be in general discussion. Also this is old news. Three months banishment to 9gag is something i would never wish upon anybody, not even my worst enemy.
Randox
Moved to the Varrock Library. Even if the books are about Runescape, discussion of the books, as books, is a literary discussion and belongs here.

Personally, I think they're excellent books and really well written. The second one was much more political/character development than the first one but enjoyed it all the same.
Jonanananas
I've won the first one in a tip.it competition, so I was basically forced to read it :P I've found it to be okay literature, something you can read without disliking it but nothing that I will remember as particularly enjoyable to read. I've found it quite predictable at times and the characters were rather dull.

Calypsan
I haven't read them but I saw something relating to them on the website and was curious considering I've been trying to take a stab at writing my own RS-based fanfic. Are they Twilight-level writing or is there actually some decency and thought to them?
ForsakenMage
I actually found myself enjoying the first book quite a bit. Not perfect, but there was a nice plot and a decent amount of connections could be made back into the game that was reasonable and not exaggerated. :) The second book, however, I found rather annoying A lot of the character development that was done in the first book seemed undone in the second one. >.O There is a third book coming out next month, and I intend on ordering it in hopes it will be better than the second one. And no, they're not "Twilight writing." Thankfully. Adventurer's Log || YouTube || Facebook || Tip.it Times Work || Wanna Join the Editorial Panel?Maxed Out 01 October 2012 PDT
