Bonus stuff after the quest! :D

[hide]

If you go back into the original cave that you completed the quest in, you'll find that the bridge has collapsed into the acid pool, which you can swim through. After coming out on the other side and advancing through the caves, you hear echoes telling you which way to go...these eventually lead you to a room with ancient writing on the walls and another acid pool. The ancient writing on the wall next to you when you come in will give you 5k constitution xp, and if you cross the acid pool, another wall will give you 25k constitution xp! Woo bonusss! [/hide]

What are its stats?

I'd assume 0 since Jagex specifically said it is a cosmetic item.

Has anyone had any bolt drops from any of the 3 new monsters?

Done a tad bit of camping on all and yet to see anything

Here is me, fighting the highest level worms thinking that they'll drop new parts for the bow to upgrade it, with the QBD next week dropping some form of final part. And after re-reading the article, the only thing they are meant to drop are the bolts and the cape...so meh.

The lowest level one's dropped 20 coral bolts for me on the 3rd of 5 kills.

Somewhat disappointed that the QBD wasn't released this week, but I guess it's all for the best since it probably means they have some kinks to work out. The quest sounds pretty cool and I can't wait to play it when I get home, though I don't think I'll bother killing the creatures in the cave.

Slayer; it's just what I do.

Tbf it does say next week they will drop stuff related to the QBD drops, so you're not entirely wrong just too soon.

Loving the new names on knights and corpses.

Sir Rebrum - Cerebrum

Sir Pent - Serpent

Sir Rownd - Surround

Sir Ruppee - No idea what this is meant to be, syrupy?

Sir Loynst Ayke - Sirloin Steak

Sir Rinch - Syringe?

Sir Remony, Sir Rogate and Sir Rillic found too.

It's also kind of a pity that they're only going to drop the upgrades and draconic pieces next week - means having to put up with two waves of really crowded caves (yes the French world is full too).

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Trying to explore the caves after the quest, and although I can hear the echoes, I don't seem to make any progress :S

[hide]The directions are not same as during quest

[hide]The echos assume you are facing north

[hide]Left = west, right = east, above = north, below = south[/hide]

Thank you!

[hide] I was taking it too literally from reading earlier about following the echoes, so when I went near a cave entrance I listened if it made any sounds and found myself constantly going in the same loop! [/hide]

The echoes weren't very frequent, and when they did sound, they weren't cardinal directions. In fact, there was only one clue (about light or lack thereof). It was otherwise guesswork. Almost more people raging here than in the quest puzzle. Dassa gud troll jagex, dassa gud troll. Oh well, still made it to the word wall.

Didn't really get any good pics from this quest... :(

As mentioned the drops for the high level worms are, for some bizarre reason, quite good. It's not as if they're hard to kill either.

Drops so far:

3 Noted Addy ore

50 Noted Flax

50 Blood runes

2k, 5k and 7k cash drops

Royal Cape

Rune Chainbody

Rune 2H

Rune Dagger

Feel free to add them to the Beastiary article when it's made.

101 kills and no cape. Decent money from all the rune drops. Crowding isn't a problem as hype died very fast.

They make some nasty noises, but they're easy to kill. Soul split every few minutes is enough to heal.

Take note that the Amulet may only teleport you once a day, but the Port Sarim Lodestone is like 10 steps away from where you get teleported to.

My kill log for anyone interested:

Grot = cave

Worm = wurm

Blatant misuse of Dutch tbh...

Anywho; these worms examine tells us they morph into something else; any ideas?

The Royal Cape and Coral Crossbow look great! :thumbup:

Can't wait until next week to see what the QBD drops look like.

I was killing the mature grotworms and a player came down and said he got 3 royal capes from the younger ones and that the mature ones weren't worth it. When I ran out of food for the mature ones, I went up to the young worms and managed to get a couple of royal capes in not a lot of time, so if your game is finding those capes; that might be a tip :)
