P2P armor setup--low budget

Hey guys, I am quite new to Tip.It and at the moment I am rather pleased with what I see and how the website is set, but in RS I need help.. I need a good armour design (P2P) but I don't have a very high budget.

My budget at the moment is 2-3m so.. :/

At the moment I am using a Berserker helm, Glory, Obsidian Cape, Dragon Defender, Abyssal whip, Granite Plate, Dragon Platelegs, Dragon Boots, Regen bracelet, Ring of wealth

So yeah, that's my crappy layout :P

Any tips/advice is appreciated!

What are your levels, and what do you usually do/are currently doing in RS? By 'good armor' design do you mean looks, or effectiveness?

That will help get your question answered when you let us know :P

Well your armor is going to depend greatly on what you do (slayer, camping, bossing etc). A great place to start is going to be getting a void armour set with the range and melee helms as well as the deflector (Play the Pest Control minigame and Conquest, the latter being just for the deflector). They are probably the most versatile pieces of equipment you can get right off the bat and there is no monetary cost, just time playing the minigames.

For gear you want to stress two things, strength bonus and prayer bonus. If you cant afford a piece of gear that has a str bonus get one with prayer. For prayer bonus you're going to want to get a set of proselyte (the chest and legs) and later veracs top and bottom. Once your cashpile is better you can invest in a Bandos Chestplate and Tassets as the str is more beneficial than prayer bonus.

Before you get anything else with cash though you want to buy a berserker ring and a fury amulet (in that order).

Other pieces to get ASAP...

Cape - Fire cape/Kiln Cape, Ardy cape (3/4), and a SW cape (nomads requiem required).

Gloves - Barrows Gloves (Recipe for Disaster required).

Helm - Helm of Neitiznot (its basically a berserker helm with a prayer bonus and can hold scrolls for summoning familiars).

That should give you a good place to start but look forward to Q's obligatory slayer post with more detailed information.

With the Evolution of Combat messing up prices, it's all a bit uncertain, but Verac's armour (top and legs only) is a good investment for less than 1m. Your helmet/cape/ring/gloves indicate you have quite a few quests/diaries/things that need doing so I would work on that first.

Specifically, you'll want to complete:

Recipe for Disaster (all subquests & boss fight) for Culinaromancer gloves 10 (barrows gloves).

Fremennik Isles (Helmet of Neitiznot).

Either Fight Caves (fire cape), Nomad's Requiem (Soul Wars cape) or the Ardougne diary 3+ (Ardougne cloak).

The Elder Kiln for the tokkul-zo ring. Although the ring of wealth is probably alright for fighting very low defence things, e.g. training.

If you plan to slay at all, get black mask / slayer helm as soon as possible.

honestly until the next update id try to save your cash and build up what you can beacuse it may change what armor you should use for your play style you may benefit more from a dual weild situation also under the items section there is an equipment builder there and that could help a lot
