I'm gonna get a max cape.... in a few years

Recommended Posts

Ok. I started this account on July 19th, 2012. I found this website while looking around for help with runescape. I have had other runescape accounts, but never gotten this addicted before. I would love to be part of the community, and I need all the help I can get so if any of you guys want to add me to your list of friends in game, please do. I have looked at some of the other blogs on here, and I think it would be cool if I created my own. Anything helpful would be awesome!

The reason my defense is so high, is because I couldn't really remember how to change combat styles until earlier today. I would love some help with some of the newer skills, bc I have no idea how to do them. Summoning and dungeoneering especially.

I actually just won 500k on the squeal of fortune, and it is the most money I have ever had. I will try to post here often, but I feel bad because everyone else posts pictures of super high levels, and mine are mostly level 1 :/

Feel free to post on my blog :D

First off, welcome to Tip.it.

For summoning, (I'm assuming you're still on your 14 day trial membership?) I'd recommend doing the quest 'Wolf Whistle' as not only does it get you a few levels to start you off, it gives you 275 Gold Charms which are needed to train the skill. There are plenty of decent guides online, here are a few that you can find on here (Archive of Wisdom):

To get you started with Summoning: http://forum.tip.it/...g-mastery-bork/

Dungeoneering: http://forum.tip.it/...ips-and-tricks/

Goodluck, I'll add you next time I go on.

Adding onto what was said above, the general skill guides on tip.it's main site are good for beginners.

This will be an interesting blog to follow if you keep it updated regularly, it'll be interesting to watch someone like yourself develop (and I mean that not in a sarcastic or patronising way!) Good luck!

Thank you a lot guys. Add me if you want :D

Today was a really good day for me. I think I played the most I ever have before (3 hours!) I reached the total level of 150.

So today, I cut a bunch of logs. I fletched some of them, and I lit the other ones. You can now stand in the same spot and light fires!! I did some potion making through the herblore skill. It is very quick, but costs a fair bit of money. I also got my mining up a little. I'm not a fan of mining, so I only did a little.

I think I am going to try and keep my skills as close together as I can.

Any tips on how to start Hunter? I read the other guides up there ^ they should help with summoning and dungeoneering.

The fastest way to train hunter until level 20 is actually through a farming mini game called Vinesweeper. You don't actually have to pay, just buy oogleroots from the farmer, and run around the farm using them on rabbits. Have any tool leprechaun from a farming patch teleport you there.

Ok so today, it is safe to say i "no lifed" it. I spun a lot of flax for my crafting levels, and i also fletched more. I started on construction, farming and agility. Agility really is boring. I don't understand how it benefits me, but I want all my skills to be close so I do it anyway. Construction cost me some money, and farming takes forever for stuff to grow. I kinda want to start killing stuff again soon, but I am not sure what my next plans are. Thanks guys.

Agility helps you in a lot more ways then you probably think, not only does it increase the time you can run for, you can use tons of short cuts that saves a lot of time when doing other skills etc, and quite a few quests also require a decent agility level. Certain areas also require an agility level to access, but yeah it can get pretty tedious.

Hey Jake, and welcome to Tip It.

I agree, Agility can be very tedious and does get very boring and repeative fast... But like Shadyantics said It does open up a lot more of Runescape for you, Take for example the area known as Priffindas(Elf lands) accessable via the underground pass. It is well worth it to train agility, but break it up into small amount of grinds... Such as say 50 laps a day, to curb the extent of how boring it can become.

Good Luck in Runescape, and feel free to add me if you like.

Thanks Blake, I'll be sure to check that out. And thanks Kyle, I love our chats haha.

So today, I got a start in dungeoneering and prayer. Dungeoneering is a lot to take in all at once, but I did some with a friend of mine. He's the one irl friend I have that still plays. He also told me to spin some of my 500k on dragon bones, and man was that the fastest skill i've done! I also did more construction and farming, and picked up a few levels in random stuff here in there. Today I heard about the fabled "jack of all trades" aura, and i cannot wait to get one. That has to help agility so much!! Oh, i also got level 5 thieving, but it was boring so i stopped. According to my nifty adventure log, I have 13 hours played. 350 total in 13 hours, not bad at all right?

Maybe tomorrow I will train some combat, because I haven't done much of it (outside of dungeoneering.)

Today I started 3 new skills. Magic, range, and thievery. I slaughtered all sorts of cows to get the range and magic levels, and got lots of cowhides. Cowhides are a lot of "gp" so that was cool. Thievery however, was extremely bland. It was very cut and dry, as well as click intensive. I also polished up mining and smithing a bit, as well as farming.

I'll edit in a picture later, but I believe my total level is now 436. Coming along quite nicely I'd say. I might take a break soon though, because I already have played for *gasp* 17 hours since the inception of my account 8 days ago.

I just spent like 15 minutes in the runespan and got my runecraft level up to 26. I plan to fish and cook when i get on later. I've also continued to farm marigold because they're nice money. Pretty much all I have left before I have all my skills near the same level is attack, strength, slayer, hunter, and summoning.

Well vacation lasted longer than expected, and then school started and shit really just hit the fan. But hey, I am back now :)

I got that 350k xp note in my inventory, and as you can see, got all of my skills to level 30. I still have 170k of it leftover, and I don't really know what to do with it.

Suggestions??

Used up the rest of the note, I decided to go for a combination of skills I dislike (agility, hunter) and slow skills (slayer, summoning). Also put quite a bit in strength so now hopefully I will be able to hit much higher than I could before. I haven't really decided what I want to next.

Anyone know of anything that I should do right away??

Feel free to post on my blog :D

Finish getting 50 strength then do the quests : Waterfall, Tree Gnome Village, The Grand Tree, Fight Arena and The Lost City.

Then after all that Start some herb runs doing toadflax when you reach 38 farming makes a decent profit, also do willow trees if you can afford.

Only just spotted this blog :D

Good luck on your goals! Max cape in a few years is a really good goal to go for :) You're making very quick progress through the lower levels!

Also noticed your stats are staying epically balanced :)

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

Hey thanks you guys :) I have been real busy with school, but I have gotten a few levels here and there, and my total level is now 816. I am excited for the 700k xp reward at the end of the month! Hopefully I can find more time to play properly soon. I really like when other people comment on this!

Hey guys :) I realized it was the 1st, so I logged in today, and it said I haven't played in 21 days.. I've been neglecting Runescape and my blog. Oops. I wonder how many squeal lamps I missed.... Well anyway, it takes forever to use my promissory note on my low skills -.- I keep having to use freaking 1k lamps. I only did about 100k worth of xp on various things, and got 38 levels. I will try to use the rest of it in the next few days. I got my first skill to 50, which was strength :D anyways, expect another update soon with a picture, and hopefully maybe i can get my total level to 1000 and maybe get like level 40+ in my skills.

Post with tips if you'd like!

Feel free to post on my blog :D
