1450 Glacor dry streak - can you beat it?

I wouldn't say I'm angry about this, just slightly frustrated. There's no rule stating you get x amount of boots in x amount of kills, but you gotta admit I'm pretty unlucky. :P It is what it is. I finished ROTM around 3 weeks ago and have yet to get a boot drop 1450 kills in... can anyone beat that?

Pretty unlucky but it can happen :( My biggest dry streak has been around 1.2k myself, its just annoying you've had a large dry streak right off the mark with no boots before it :(

 

It'll average out in the long term anyway with multiple boots within a few trips or something :)

^Yeah that's what I'm hoping will happen, averaging out in the long run. Just gotta get past that first drop though...

^All I'm saying is based on previous drop logs I've seen, dry streaks sometimes, not always, precede periods of "increased" drop rates, so to speak. This is not a proven fact nor guaranteed to happen, but I certainly hope it does. I am in no way stating that it always happens that way.

I haven't kept exact count, but it's been half a year since my last boots drop. I haven't done that much Glacor killing in the midst, but I'm pretty certain I got way over 1,000 kills dry streak at the moment. It feels like so long that I'm not even waiting to see those things. I'm just killing them for charms I need for 96 and 99 summoning. But 20 hours of killing Glacors or more does certainly frustrate. Maybe I'll see some boots eventually.

^Do you know how many shards you've gotten in that time? It could give you an estimate if you multiply it by 10.

Dry streaks don't have to precede increased drop periods, because that's just not how it works. People see patterns where there are no patterns :P

 

Like hedge says, law of averages etc. 5k glacors done myself and my average is pretty much bang on 1/300 if that helps

And I've done about 2k-2,5k glacors atleast with 1/500 - 1/600 drop ratio.. I haven't kept all the shards, cause I have sold them in midst. I just hope my luck is going to eventually turn to better, or I most likely lose last bit of motivation to camp those things.

i have a 9200 glacor dry streak

and a 15000 at tds

And I thought my 763 kills dry ending in ragefires was bad... Got Steads 600ish kills later, on 1639 overall.. When I max I'll be nolifing Glacors for Charms/Gp

Secret to beating the Law of Averages:

 

Make a game out of how big of a dry streak you can get. The longer you go without the drop, the more you're winning. Once you get a drop, well damnit you got yourself a drop.

 

Add friends and beer for extra luls. And a voice chat.

I was dry for @least 3-4k kills, but got glaivens yesterday, you have to keep at it!

Maybe i can.....

ive killed maybe 300 in total so no large database or anything but, i got my first boot drop around kill 130 or so, that boot drop was also steads :)

I got three boots (1x steads, 2x ragefires) on my first 200-250 Glacor kills. Atm I have like 80 shards, which means that I've killed about 800 glacors... But yeah, Blue charms ftw :)
