Chop magic logs: 30

Siphon blood, death, or law runes from the Runespan: 145

Construct normal or flatpack teak armour cases: 120

Mine coal from concentrated coal deposits in the Living Rock Caverns: 207

Steal from gnomes: 70

Well, they did say that the rewards would be as good as if you had spent that time doing the best possible activity at your level. So I'm guessing that in Jagex's mind, doing a F1C6 takes the same time as doing the highest floor you can, with a full party, and clearing all the rooms, and they just want to make it up to you and give you that exp that you would have normally gained. Because we all know, the most efficient dungeoneers clear the floor completely 100%.

I did my gnome thieving task and when things reset I now have "Assignment: Reaper- Kill slayer creatures that are assigned to you by a slayer master: 47"

I have a dust devil task. I'll edit how much exp I get for this after I do it.

Why do I have to smith addy burial armour when my smithing level isn't even close to the required level?

 

That is the challenge...you have to train your smithing to that level so you can make addy burial armor in less than 1 day.

 

Lol...j/k sounds like a bug. I would report it so they can fix it.

People say DG is "broken" but I see no problem with it, especially if you're not getting any tokens for it. As said earlier in the thread, you're asked to do something and you get the equivalent exp of the most efficient method you can do back afterwards. No problem.

 

 

So I logged for my daily spins and only ended up being given 1 challenge of catching 16 Jadinkos. Should I not have been given 4 seeing as I haven't finished the slayermaster: expert task yet?

Was kind of hoping I'd get 5 challenges a day, 1 a day is kind of drab. :(

Yeah, these challenges are a lot better and a lot more fun than I expected (Mostly due to the awesome XP). I'd love to get like 3-5 challenges every day.

Be VERY careful about allowing the quartermaster to search your bank as well as your inventory. You might think, like I did, that if you take what you made to complete the challenge and have in it your backpack, that the quartermaster would take these to show you completed the challenge. Quite the opposite. Your bank will be searched first and only after there is nothing of the type needed is left in your bank will your inventory get used. In my case I had to smith addy equipment. So I was left with addy daggers and lost platebodies, platelegs, 2h sword, full helmets and such out of my bank.

 

This also explains why if you cannot get your reward if you have a full inventory (I had yew logs). Since the quartermaster is searching your bank first, no space will ever get cleared out of your inventory for the reward to take.

 

My advice is to NOT choose the last option which allows the quartermaster to search your bank and never ask the question again. You never know what you might lose if you do that.

for smithing challenges can you make arrows or bolts ect and make say 210 total arrows or do you still have to make 210 sets of 15 arrows?

Put your game filter to "all" and start smithing. It will tell you then. I think it might be 210 sets of 15 though.

I wouldn't call today's update small. :o.

 

It was a huge back end restructuring but because the challenges are only once per day essentially, it doesn't feel like "big" content to the end-user. I can completely understand why people would say this week felt a little empty.

It's the kind of small update that probably won't end up being dead content, though.

Neither was the Circus D&D but most people would agree that it wasn't something that drastically changed your day-to-day playstyle and depending on how you valued exp, could be easily forgettable. That's all I mean :P Don't get me wrong, I do like this update a lot. I'm just eager for those quests they promised us for september.

I had a DG challenge, got ~178k @ 85.

Made 3 Super Prayer Restores, got like 7k I believe.

Made 6 Iron Titan Pouches, got 4k.

Caught 132 Charm Spirits, got 43k Hunter Exp.

Made 70 Decorated Fishing Urns, forgot how much Crafting exp I got, 50-70k I believe.

 

I wish we got more than one a day.

 

Also, don't bother doing anything that isn't your daily challenge. I did 27 laps just for the hell of it, and all I got was, "Challenge complete: Advanced Gnome Stronghold Course! Well Done!"

 

No bonus exp at all.
