If it wasn't for that last paragraph mentioning the Solomon's Store (remember when they updated hairstyles for free?), I would have said that this will be a great month.

But ah well, I like it how Jagex is updating old quests. I believe a Black Knight's Fortress quest is also in the works. Now they've got to update Rune Mysteries so that it's not a delivery quest anymore, and turn Vampire Slayer into a quest where you get to kill a sparkling vampire.

K quitting rs now.

[bleep] sparkly vampires.

I'm joining your rage-quit, only if the "sparkly vampires" are named after the Twilight characters... :wall:

The only thing wrong with it is the lack of a percentage for when you need to stroke it.

If any of you who are upset over the customizable piece from the general store and are thinking it will devalue rares you should your homework. It has already been made public the mechanics of this item. When you use the customizable piece on another item it locks that item in some form of storage. I would presume that it's probably something much similar to how lending goes. I'm betting lending actually uses the same mechanic of storing away say something such as dragon claws and gives them an expiring version. So the player that turns the item into a cosmetic overlay will end up putting that item in a storage and therefore cannot be taken out to trade.

My money's on a major glitch causing many rares made into a customizable piece to disappear in the first few days. Jagex will apologize but point to their rule about not returning lost items. Secretly, Jagex figures out how many rares were actually lost then puts those back in the GE at mid price.

Before the mass phat crash occours, please read:

We will also be offering a 'Choose Your Own Outfit' consumable. This item can be used on any of your favourite items to make them a cosmetic over-ride, in the same manner as the other Solomon Store items. Enter battle with a party hat or Halloween mask, when you are really wearing (and risking) a dragon full-helm, for example.

1. borrow party hat for 2 minutes

2. set as default hat

3. return party hat

Not sure if this has been responded to, but on page 10 of the thread in future updates, a Jmod confirmed that you can't use borrowed items, and that whilst the hat is in your cosmetic override slot, you can't sell it either. Hence the spike in prices yesterday. Rares haven't been devalued, the Jmods have actually gone out of their way to ensure this doesn't negatively impact prices. Quite the opposite in fact :P

My money on the other hand is on the players hoaxing the said glitch, hoping to cause an artificial rise in rares and profit from it.

I'm glad to say that I've heard jagex has changed their stance on returning lost items due to hijacking. With that said its doubtful that a legitimate case made from a glitch would be declined the services to return lost items.

My money is also on the hype placed on those hoax situations.

Meh, they aren't as good as I was expecting. Only ones worth considering are #3 and #6. The rest are very meh.

Aside from that, this month looks decent. Another 2 quests this month, almost feels like it's 2006 all over again when there were 2 quests almost every month. :o

Isn't the only quest this month "What's Yours is Mine"? Quite a few people have mentioned 2 quests this month but I don't seem to see which one the other is.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Guess I'm being blind then. Felt like that the goblin stuff was a quest, lol.

In all honesty, I find their consistent pun-naming to be degrading to RS.

You mean they actually give half a crap about players who lose their belongings due to their own flawed recovery system and/or security in general now? How kind of them!

No matter how much you hate it, future civilizations will credit the creation of vampires to Stephenie Meyer. It's inevitable.

P.S. Dammit I needed to Google "Twilight" to remember the name of that author. I am forever tainted as a statistic: one of the quadrillions to Google that trash.

They've already updated vampire slayer. Sorry, but I had a slight enjoyment in shattering your hopes of a twilight pun in that quest.

There's literally no way I can imagine integrating NDAs, executives, bondage, s&m, romance, drama, and social commentary into runescape.

Wait, no. I just thought of something involving Mod MMG and Kuradel. It was not pretty. Please pass the brain bleach.
