I have next to no coin (40k or so). What I am looking for is suggestions for both getting charms & How to Level best with Summoning.

I will accept any suggestions (Except ones involving any other Non-Combat Skills, and please no suggestions saying, kill this monster til... and then...).

I would prefer suggestions matching my current Stats (ie; monsters that I would not have great difficulty killing (Melee preferred) at my current Combat level).

Skills I am working on for P.O.P.

I prefer to slay for charms. While it's tempting to use the blue and crimson charms early on, I'd advise saving them for as long as makes sense.

Ditto. Most slayer creatures are good charm droppers, and the added bonus of the black mask/slayer helm makes them faster to kill. 99 slayer will get you all the charms you need for 99 summoning (or more), plus more than enough cash to use them all (depending how you slay). Also like he said, save the good charms for later if possible (though use up all the charms you have this weekend for the bonus xp).

Slayer is a great way. Gathering charms and getting slayer exp. What's not to like. It also let's you experience different monsters you wouldn't otherwise encounter. :)

As much as I hate to hoard items, including skill items, you should definitely hold onto charms until you either a: find a consistent money source, or b: can afford to splurge on a great level.

I'd recommend trying to use a majority of just gold charms at lower levels and getting at least a terrorbird. That's a decent familiar for numerous things such as some PvM, agility and quests. Everything else, specifically blues/maybe crimsons, should be SAVED for later when they are the absolute best for you to use.

If you can do it, get about 800k+ gp before this upcoming Saturday-Tuesday and snipe some cheap spirit shards off the Grand Exchange. It won't be many shards, but 800k in shards straight to summoning at a lower level will boost gold charms HUGELY.

Obtaining charms is just a matter of time/effort, slaying is a worthwhile method - whilst I recommend camping something that generates acceptable profit/hour for yourself. As for what to make, it's rather easy to use this page: https://docs.google....UE9UWHRGU3VNQUE. It's Grimy Bunyip's spreadsheets for finding out the best training methods for your income and level. Credits go to Xp-waste.com and Grimy Bunyip.

Edit: Combine TIp.It's summoning calc/planner with this, and you have a great method of theorizing your training methods.

Just look for something that is cheap per xp or high xp/h yet still affordable for you (learn to use the sheets before buying anything - worth it). After that, it's smooth sailing.

Mind you, Grimy has been busy with other things IRL so some sheets may not work as well as possible, but a good amount are useful for xp-rates alone and you can calculate cost based on median G.E. prices.

Sorry for the dreadfully long post, but GOOD LUCK! Summoning takes time unless you camp things (like rock lobs lol)..

Edit2: Since I mentioned this weekend, I might as well say that it really isn't worth spending your time or money on DXPW for summoning xp. You likely won't need it that badly/have enough charms by then, so focus on other things that will benefit you more. Keep in mind that herbs and stuff may shift in price, either causing you loss or giving you opportunity to make more money. This weekend is important for your gameplay, so be cautious and aware. Have fun!

Slayer's not a very fast way to gather pure charms at higher levels. I don't know about lower levels, the monsters are all different of course, so it may well be worth it. But just to remember for later on, that slayer is really bad for everything except that you also get the highest slayer xp rate with it, so the rest is all 'free' bonus.
