I don't know what's the problem with playing this game, War Chipmunk, some people find it fun, like myself, and play it regularly. And no, I do not rage at this game even when I have bad games.

Think about it; they do the SAME thing with every game they release. They basically take guns, change the appearances and the names, and change the maps. Lets be honest; the changing of kill/score streaks has changed yes, but the roots of the game are the same. It got lame after MW2.

Right.

Lets take Battlefield 3 for example

The whole game does involve guns and vehicles, yes. But the guns are ALL balanced. The only reason for someone to repeatedly kill you with the same gun is because they're good at the game; not because they can use a gun that has too much power :)

The vehicles are balanced as well, in sync with the players.

You're JOKING right? Vehicles balanced? HAHAHAHA you're a funny guy, or just blind (below radar anyone? The fact that a good jet pilot can destroy an entire team single-handedly? Tanks getting one-hit disabled?). Bad Company 2 had balance in it's guns, but BF3 barely has any. Mortars are dead-on or no kill. M16/AEK are still the go-to guns if you want an easy-mode multiplayer. Stingers/IGLAs are OP as hell. Just to name a few.

Judging by your posts on the BF thread, you don't have much experience with the game (especially considering you think it's "realistic"). Please don't preach poorly-informed opinions as fact.

DO YOU HEAR THE VOICES TOO?!?!

These are some bold words from a guy who wishes he could just buy his way to the top of the leaderboards.

What? Are you talking about the weapon/armor packs you can buy on Origin (for pc) to get all the unlocks? I've never EVER bought any of them and don't plan to, ever.

Right.

I don't know how to play the game?

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/War%20Chipmunk/stats/319781138/xbox/

Please review my battlelog stats

Vehicles are; it doesn't take 3 SMAW's to destroy a lightly armored infantry vehicle? Helicopter pilots shooting missiles can't insta-kill ground troops, and one barrage of rockets won't destroy a fully armored tank. Below radar is only useful if you can coordinate your hands and eyes. Otherwise, why not just learn to use the REGULAR tac-map; it works too.

Well you just answered the next thing I was about to answer; a good jet pilot can definitely do work. But with simple luring (towards your AA guns) and teamwork, you can EASILY take him/her down. It isn't rocket science, if you have a brain you can figure out some crafty ways to take down good pilots.

Tanks getting one hit disabled? What'r you getting hit by? That never happens to me.

Mortars can do damage if it's within a certain proximity, but of course head on hits are going to kill you; don't be silly. M16/AEK have trade-offs with each other; AEK has less power but less vertical/horizontal recoil. M16 does more damage but more recoil. There is NO god-gun in the game. If you're good, you can make ANY gun good.

Stingers/Iglas aren't OP? They do exactly what they're supposed to do; disable air vehicles upon a direct hit. If they didn't EVERYONE would just fly around and walk all over everyone.

Would you like me to clarify anything else? I can teach you things beyond your wildest dreams. :dodgyrun:

Wrong

anyway AEK/m16 are the best guns. In any situation you'll encounter often they are the best choice hands down.

edit: how did this end up in the cod thread

I think I was trying to describe or challenge a thought/idea lol.

I'm no wizard on the PC (yet) but I joined midway through the match and got 7th on my team :o

  • 3 weeks later...

I agree partially, every COD game has had its' competitive merit (I think World at War being the exclusion), COD4 was by far the best I do agree and I still play the game from time to time. I didn't even get Black Ops 2 until a month after its' release because I thought it was going to be a huge joke but a lot of the big names from the competitive scene were making moves and talking about how stellar it was for competitive play which peaked my interest. Is it as good as COD4 competitively? No. But I think that's much like were any of the other Halo games as competitive as Halo 1 or 2? Nope. But I have to applaud Treyarch to a degree for redefining COD and trying to rebuild and expand upon the competitive seen. So to put it simply it has the best competitive scene since COD4.

Not only that but I think it's the best cod since cod4. It's also the first cod that I don't have lag in, since cod4. Except for the rare times that I play TDM, I don't see many campers either.

Returning back to Black Ops 2, anyone watch the COD Championships this weekend?

Sat in front of the Laptop the entire weekend watching it. Sad that Optic had to lose against Fariko again. I don't really like Fariko because they seem to be a bit to cocky for my liking. But i guess after the impression they have made with the last three "major" competitions they deserve to be cocky. Parasite has a big future ahead of him. Scumpi and Nadeshot though, as always, played a great game (especially Scumpi). That 3-piece he picked up on the Aftermath SnD. It was amazing.

Kind of got me back into BO2 again too, after taking about a month break from it. I'm happy Nuketown is now on PC too. I've been doing extremely well on it (for my standards). Had my best game on it just earlier. Went 76 - 34. I felt like a pro. I can see myself dropping my first 100+ on that map. All it takes is one good streak and i'll be on my way.

Anyone use the SCAR lately? Feels like it's really good now. I've been having good games with it constantly. I'm not an amazing player so i sometimes struggle to get a Bloodthirsty with any gun, haha. But with the Scar it feels liek whenever i use it i get at least one or two per game.

I haven't touched the SCAR really, though I might this weekend try and max out a lot of guns for pub stomping since Treyarch just announced double weapon xp for the weekend beginning tomorrow at 10am PST. I've been using the FAL/M8 and MP7/Skorpion EVO for my go to guns depending on what I'm playing in customs or league (Hardpoint, SnD, or CTF). I usually stick to the FAL/M8 for HP and CTF if I'm anchoring, if I'm running objective I'll generally switch to an SMG. And almost always in SnD I run an SMG class.

Double Gun XP? Nice. Since most of the guns I used are already diamond/gold, I'll have to level up tonight as I don't have many guns unlocked since prestiging last time I played.

I've been doing really well with the M27 lately, I think it's displaced the AN-94 as my best assault rifle. Got my first gold gun (R870), and have been getting better at sniping too. I'm tempted to go for diamond shotguns, but the S12 and M1216 are a pain in the ass to get one hit kills with.

Anyone played the new zombies? I really don't want to buy another map pack, but I've heard it's quite fun.

I've got 2 gold guns now. The PDW and the MP7. I actually stopped using the PDW at all since i never really likes it from the start. Not sure why i used it as much as i did previously. The PM7 is so much better. I like the faster firing SMGs so i tend to stick to the EVO, MP7 and VEKTOR. When it comes to ARs i guess the only one i really use now is the SCAR and on some rare occasions the AN94, but not as much anymore. I'm more of an SMG player since i'm that guy that doesn't give a crap about KDR and just rush the objective blindly. So i'm faced with cqc 90% of the time. I've been having a lot of fun sniping too though. The DSR is a monster. Been getting some really insane crossmap Quickscopes that would make any Optic/Faze member proud, even though they are mostly luck. 1 more bloodthirsty and i get the gold DSR, but it seems nearly impossible for me, haha.

And as i say that, first game after posting this, i got it :D

I got diamond on my Snipers, doing the SVU-AS was the biggest pain in the ass. Needing so many 1 shot, 1 kill essentially meant you needed all headshots since it was the only way to get 1 shot kills with that gun. I have gold on a bunch of SMGs and AR's, but too lazy to complete them for diamond on the set. The PDW and MSMC were among the SMG's that got nerfed in the update back in like January-February, the PDW was ridiculously powerful for an SMG and having such a naturally high bullet capacity made it a staple in an objective players arsenal, but not really anymore.

The MP7 was left pretty much untouched, as well as the EVO. For my SMG classes, I generally run just quickdraw, MAYBE extended clip. Then I'll run a secondary (KAP40), and for my perks I run in CTF are Lightweight, Toughness, Dead Silence, Extreme Conditioning. Being an objective player, I play a lot slower than my teammates as my job is to be sneaky and make grabs. I usually have a modest amount of kills (20-ish) and 15-20 deaths but that's in leagues and customs. In pub stomping I do whatever the hell I want haha.

In Hardpoint, I go with Lightweight, Flak Jacket, Toughness, and Dexerity, or I'll do Lightweight, Toughness, Dexerity, and Tactical Mask. I usually use my Tactical Mask class to start since off the start you're way more likely to get hit with concussions and such. Then I switch to flak jacket afterward to save myself from grenades since I'm the hill man.

And finally for SnD I'll use Lightweight, Toughness, and Extreme Conditioning and Dead Silence if on defense so I can get to A or B fast to defend. If on defense I use Lightweight, Toughness, Dead Silence and Dexerity for mobility since I'm our bomb carrier. Depending on the team we play I may use Toughness and Cold Blooded if they're using MMS, but that's usually in later rounds like 9 to 11 when things slow way down and they're constantly trying to wall bang you. As for grenades, I generally only carry tactical, and that tactical is usually always smoke. On the rare occasion an EMP for Sentry Gun purposes.

I do always have one AR class, usually the FAL which I run Reflex, FMJ, and Stock. ALWAYS run stock on AR's, just like you should always run quickdraw on SMG's. You ADS a lot more with AR's, but it's not necessary to do it as fast due to higher power and because you usually ADS for a long time. So you need to be able to strafe and move faster which is why I use stock. SMG's you run and gun more so you ADS for short bursts and thus it's necessary to be in and out as fast as possible. I really only ever pull out my AR class now though if in the off chance I'm running anchor for my team.

Also, UMG St. Louis is this weekend, they'll be streaming the tournament. I think we'll be seeing an Envyus v Fariko Impact rematch if I'm not mistaken.

The remake of firing range is really good, probably the best looking CoD map they've ever made. The skyscraper and magma maps are good, but I'm not a big fan of the stage map. Zombies is confusing, haven't played enough to have an opinion on it though.
