Lap
Just curious, asking this around different forums to see how different sets of people view wealth in this game. 45,657th to 99 Range 29/09/09 , 41,018th to 99 Mage 13/11/09__________________
Kimberly
Average? Probably between 2-15mil. Wealth is so concentrated on the upper levels of players, they probably greatly skew the average.
Hedgehog
Average is sort of useless in these sorts of situations since a small number of people control a large portion of the wealth. Median would reflect what I think you're trying to ask most accurately. My estimate would be in the range of 10-40m.
Teemupets
For legimative players: I would say under 40m, thanks to eoc changes. At least my wealth went down 60m. Depends on how long they have played. For bots, money traders and gamblers (read: scammers): TOO MUCH! Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladdin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pacman ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! If you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
SwreeTak
I would say around 20M. Most people seem to invest into their skills nowadays, more than they used to. Add me if you so wish: SwreeTak

Fallstar
The mean average would be of the order 100-1000M. The median of the order 10-100m. I don't think you can call it to a higher degree of accuracy than that. Asmodean <
Ginger_Warrior
In a game where anyone who isn't maxed tends to invest money straight back into their skills, it largely depends on player psychology and how much people like to keep in reserve, but in my limited experience (because I've only got the people "around me" in RuneScape to go off) I'd say players tend to think 10–20M is a safe number. As far as maxed players are concerned, it varies wildly. | Favourite Game Music | Last.fm | HYT Friend Chat Rules |
Aussie R8
with the introduction of EOC it didnt cause me to lose any money cause i was flipping items to make moneyso even if the value of an item went down, as long as there was a margin i would be making money still and i have over $100m
Quyneax
There's still quite a lot of people with Bandos sets etc., so I'm going to guess at 50m average or so. There are some 44k people on the hiscores with 2300+ total. I would expect those to have 200m average or so, in cash, drygores, Bandos, glacor boots etc. There are quite a lot of pvmers with lower totals still, who'll also have at least a drygore weapon and some smaller pieces for totals >100m.
