QBD Help?

For some reason I can't get passed the third phase, I'm just trying to get to the fourth to forge my royal crossbow but I just can't get anything done. Is there a guide or anything? This is getting really annoying. Everyone says it's easy but I can't seem to figure it out >_<.

Are you ranging or maging her?

Maging her is the easiest with wellfare equipment, ranging is faster.

Melee is extremely tough, though. That alone could be your primary hurdle.

I'd recommend killing her with ranging, but i've found that you can make quite a bit of failures and still do her alright. Make sure you're praying protect range, and that you're out of melee range. Kill the worms that spawn, and make sure you're quick when touching the artefacts after each stage (pay attention to her health and move closer to the artefact when she's low on health) Other than that just practise (and make sure you're using super-antifires, I've forgot those way too often)

Unless they upgraded the damage from the worms, when I did it I completely ignored the worms until they started to block my movements (that usually happens when there are more than about 3 worms, granted I was using soul split, so it might not apply to you).

Also, I have personally found that trying to go for the hole in her firewalls usually resulted in more damage taken from the firewalls, because you get hit multiple times when running sideways if you miss the hole, something that happens to me more often than I like to. I then went and tried running straight INTO the firewall unless the hole is 3 squares or less away, that way you only take 1 hit, sometimes none at all.

I also keep scattering shot/chain exclusively for the purple ghost.

If you have 85+ range, especially with super antifires, just take the best beast of burden you can use filled with rocktail or shark, and just ignore everything except the artifacts and kill her. It may take a couple tries just given the random factor with how she uses her abilities, but it's not hard to do it.

This works using a rune crossbow and a basic anti-dragon shield and royal gear, but anything better of course helps.

I ranged my first time, and used rejuvinate as often as i could. When it comes to fire walls, you can tank them and take no damage, but this takes a bit of practice. A firewall moves at 1 square per game tick, where as a character runs 2 squares per game tick. So, if you time it right, you can run through one of these walls, and essentially, take no damage at all. With the Worms, i wiped them out as fast as i could (rapid fire does this effectivly) And with the souls, the cloud luring is practice again. I waited on the block next to them, til i seen the words forming, then i ran through the soul, hitting them with thier own cloud then would finish of in a quick shot or 2. This does get harder in the later phases, but once again, practice on this, makes perfect.

Make sure your anti fires dont run out, keep a safe distance from qbd (stay behind the first artifact) and try to stay away from the edges of the fight zone (where the water is on the curve) as hugging the curves causes the souls to spawn at random locations, rather than next to you. Also try to avoid standing on the platforms (where the other artifacts are) for prolonged periods, as they will hit you for 1500 lp occasionally.

When it came to the 4th phase, i made absolutley sure, i always had a reserve threshold for rapid fire available (the time stop soul can be highly annoying) WIPE THIS OUT AS SOON AS YOU CAN!

Albeit from all that, and what others have said, you should be ok :} Best of luck, and heres to hoping on a royal crossbow for you *fingers are crossed*
