After trying to organize a clan to start making yew longbows and alch asap I gave up and started to cry XD.

Everyone just wanted to be a rcer, or just leech by "helping in other ways like training my combat up for pvm later".

I am sure it is possible to form a group that could work together to make bank from alching early on, but not a day before 07scapes release.

Check it out, huge amount of effort has gone into this massive mod!

I'd be more than interested in helping you out with that in terms of Fletching/WCing. Feel free to flick me a PM.

At first I assume people will only be alching with nature runes they get themselves, not from buying, because you'd just be losing money.

I'm curious about what people think will be the first skill to get 99. Back then the most common were like attack, strength, fletching and cooking. But obviously fletching and cooking will be slow to start off with, and people wont be able to buy all the resources straight away. I was thinking possibly hunter? (has decent xp per hour, and even when hunter first came out there were those who were able to get 99 in like a week, even with all the hunting spots contended!). I wanna know what others think! :)

Has anyone compiled a quest list for a high combat/total level on the first day?

My path plan:

Stronghold of security

Quests

Slayer(collect all drops and unids, do all clues)

Barrows (at 55 slay and 70 combat stats)

Solo/duo camp rex(after full guthans, higher cmb)

Once resources are in game and no crazy high I will PvM and merch unids for money to buy skills.

Peace,

Vann

I personally don't want it to hit 500k either. I don't want updates. Because if you put it to a vote people will vote for GWD and other updates. That will kill 07scape, coming from an 04 player this is as modern as I would want runescape to be.

But the lack of additional cost would be nice.

I feel like the best way to "get rich quick" would be to set just one goal and stick to it. The first people to access a major item or item source would get rich pretty quickly. But keep in mind there won't be any billionaires in the game or anything, so who knows how "rich" you'll get.

85 slayer: very hard; very obvious

Mage's book/master wand: Best mage weapon/shield. Not too difficult to get. Would get a lot of magic levels along the way. Requires a TON of runes, though.

Antifire potions: farm metal dragons for rune hatchets

Dagannoth Rex: dragon hatchets, berserker rings, warrior rings; easy boss to farm, not many requirements. Just full rune and slayer dart pretty much.

Just gotta think outside the box a little-- which items are taken for granted and will have a very high demand and very low supply like rune hatchets?

On the flip side, I think Crafting will be huge, so an obvious is just grinding out 70 or 80 with Flax & Bowstrings.

You seem to have forgotten about Temple Trekking and silver bars off it. With decent combat levels it should take a week of temple trekking to get 50-60k silver bars. You can grind with those at that point.

Once again though it seems that the best plan is to train combat.

Things taken for granted like black d'hide gear will take a while to obtain. No glories till 80 crafting, no furies till 90. Might be a wise idea to invest in crafting. Smithing's still gonna be useless lol

crafting for glories yes.

But black d'hide like rune will be from clue scrolls early on.

I think you can get glories from treasure trails too, but they wont become common until people start reaching 80 crafting.

I can't wait now! The anxiety is killing me :D I have no plans, though. Just gonna do whatever I feel like, and listen to the music while doing it!

Sorry if I skip words in my sentences from time to time. My brain tends to be a step or two ahead of my fingers when I type.

Whats TIFs prediction about the high scores on Friday March 1st?

My guess, assuming that the 'elite' players play 120 hours in week 1 and that there is at least one player doing so in each skill.

Total level: 500

Attack: 75 - will be lower then strength presumably because higher strength will give better xp rates

Strength: 83 - melee can be trained at a min of 20k an hour at fight caves, but yaks/experiments/zombie monkeys/gorillas/duelling 1 def pures may all give better xp rates

Defense: 73 - will be lower then strength because this player will have to sacrifice strength/att levels for rank 1 defense

HP: 85

Range: 75 - standard bow and arrow training since chins will not be around for a while, 120 hours for 75 seems reasonable assuming some arrow shop access and at least green dhide. Probably fire giants safe spotting.

Prayer: 60 (ecto + lvl 43 = 175 dbones, lvl 60 = 951 dbones, lvl 70 = 2562 dbones)

Magic: 70 (depending on whether the runecrafters have nats yet)

Cooking: 80 (depending on ability to buy on forums)

Woodcutting: 65 (no rune axes!)

Fletching: 70 - probably fletching willow logs

Fishing: 70 - flyfishing then barb fishing

Firemaking: 80 - probably burning willow logs

Crafting: 67 - bowstring/clay/etc.

Smithing: 60 - probably superheating

Mining: 75 (granite mining through week 1 will happen)

Herblore: 66 (super sets)

Agility: 72 (courses till wildy course)

Thieving: 61 (master farmer presumably)

Slayer: 55 (something like 5k an hour can be expected)

Don't forget while that 1 person may have played 120 hours. They could have a dozen people collecting a weeks worth of bones for example.

Glacors Drops - 33 shards.

Armadyl Drops - 1 Chestplate. 1 Hilt. 2 gloves . 2 Skirts.

I'm pretty sure I got a trimmed glory from a clue once, before elite clues were released. Though, those are obviously rare.
