I'm truly dissapointed in Jagex, the 07 server had the potential to be a good idea but by releasing it early like this sure they may have brought in some whiny people and old timers but you just alienated the paying user base who has stuck by and kept feeding you money over the years.

Just give up man. It's done. Jagex was gonna do this because of they way they handled EoC...just play which ever game you want

Its people like you that let companies get away with not being accountable for their actions. [bleep] off and go home. Thanks

Firstly calm down, secondly it's not a big deal. Jagex have made a lot of players happy with this and people who don't like it don't have to play it.

Your completely nieve to think that the number of people they made happy out weights the number of people they pissed off.

We've proven over and over again that the whiny [bleep]y minority that made this shit happen is nothing compared to the current paying member base.

And I'd love to go play what I want to play except the [bleep]ed us over for this bull shit b

Look, I'm upset for those who can do the gm quest that was suppose to be out. I was planning on power questing to get to do it (and I still will). But complaining here won't solve the issue. Those who wanted 2007 scape cried and cried and fought. No matter how little it may seems they got 2007 back. instead of complaining here, make your voice heard. That seems to have gotten things to work, because as we can see The World Wakes is paed over for a rehashing of nostalgia.

07scape got it back BY COMPLAINING.

So by any measure our current course of action of complaining everywhere is the perfect strategy to get it sorted.

At the very least Jagex are gonna have to think twice - RSOF is covered in the rage, twitter and fb are being barraged (and ignoring the issue) youtube vid has had comments set to approval before they appear and even here on our humble fansites the pr 'triumph' is facing a bit of tar in the face of the disgruntled majority whose game has officially suffered due to 07scape despite promises to the contrary.

I wonder if the "current players online" number on the main page counts the players in 07scape. 111k currently on main page and about 53k on 07.

Probably.

So what? A company should never take heed of their customers complaints? That's the business model you want jagex to abide by?

Ironically you're the only one being whiny here. You don't like it, you don't play it. Simples

No, not at all.

The model I'd like is one where when promised 07scape will NOT effect live game one of THE biggest most anticipated releases of the past few years does not get delayed precisely because of 07scape.

People's annoyance now is by no means 07scape existing, it is simply to bring it out so soon Jagex broke THE promise they made to us that it would not effect live game.

Then your previous argument regarding the method people used to get 07scape back is completely irrelevant to the point you're making. Did Jagex say the quest was coming today?

Find another game then

It's a shame all the people who whined like children for the 2007 servers to come back didn't do that.

It is, they're no better.

I've consistently been one of the most vociferous voices against 07scape returning in this thread, but even I don't see the point of holding on to a lingering anger at other people when there's a far simpler choice on the table of just walking away. Furthermore, money talks. If people walk from the live game because of the way they've handled this, and take their subscription cash with them, that's a far greater demonstration of customer power than shouting at 07scapers on TiF.

No but they told us the BTS would be this friday and jmods have confirmed the quest has been delayed by a week.

And my previous point about people complaining to get what they want is perfectly valid - we are complaining as loudly as possible because the 07scape whiners have proven this effective; hence in our annoyance at Jagex we shalt complain as much and as loudly as we like regardless of people telling us we should just get on and play or get over it.

Oh, so it was the whining that enabled Jagex to find a back up of 2007 Runescape, I see. And it was the whining, not the prospects of making more money, that made Jagex choose to put out this version of Runescape. We know that's the case because whining got the wilderness and free trade returned to us in a matter of months. I'm glad you could provide us with your business acumen.

And you don't know what delayed the quest, you're making an assumption.

The fact they are outright ignoring any questions on why it was delayed and decided to not even address it properly in the bts video says all you need about what delayed it.

And yes there are other factors that made jagex do it, but how did Jagex get the idea to do those things? Why did they become hot topics? From the fact that a vocal group whined and complained and spammed and argued until Jagex had to listen/realise there was benefit to be had by responding.

2007 scape delayed the quest.

The point is, we now know what Jagex responds to. [bleep]ing. Now I'm not good candidate to do it, but instead of doing it here it should be taken to their official forum. We all know people complain in runescape, but aside other than with Free Trade I can't remember Jagex doing something like this so quickly.

2007 advocates stamp their feet and swear blind that their wants are justified. The majority let them get on with their protest.

Players complain that Jagex have directly contradicted themselves and broken the first promise they made regarding 2007 servers which are perfectly rational. 2007 advocates take it as an attack on their holy grail and dismiss said concerns.

You all have no idea whether the 2007 servers delayed the quest or whether it simply wasn't ready yet. Granted they didn't release the video about it yet, and that is somewhat annoying but... really don't have to get so distressed about it..

All assumptions with no basis in fact other than speculation.

If customers complain and a company realises there's benefits to be had by listening to their customers complaints, that = bad? Thank god you don't work for Jagex.

Again I DID NOT SAY IT WAS BAD. I do not where you are getting this idea I am saying listening to complaints is bad from I am saying simply put Jagex DOES listen as proven by 07scape hence complaining is a GOOD way to go in annoyance of the quest delay.

I simply said we have proven it works therefore it is the perfect course of action seeing as they delayed out quest for 07scape.

And yes it may be assumptions, but answer me this: If there is a simple, normal reason the quest has been delayed why not address it properly in the video intro (as they have done previously) and why not tell us nicely on fb and twitter rather than trying to glaze over it and ignore it? There is no reason to if there is a valid, non-promise breaking explanation.
