They missed a pretty big opportunity to promote balancing the teams. Guthix portal should have been +1/+1 tickets with a lock to that team for the round. This would have helped stop people stacking as well as allowing for constant progress even if you didn't win.

 

It's also a bit of a joke on w24 at the moment. Hundreds of players waiting in lobbies because the one game is full. It would have been nice if it worked similar to pest control boats. X players ready? New game starts, otherwise ~5 minute countdown for next game.

If you can do it on your own like above (2 people on a single world) that would be a lot easier.. But still far too much. They should reduce the ridiculousness of castlewars and add some other minigames in instead.

 

1000hrs is more gametime than most games even *have* as required to complete everything (runescape's equivalent would be 5b xp + comp cape, which takes literal years of ingame time)

Okay, whose idea was it to make the basic decorative set redeemable for silver tickets, rather than gold? Because I had two basic sets in my POH and that move just cost me something like 2/3 of my tickets. <_<

They're supposed to be looking into this, and a couple mods are helping people who post about it on the forums.

And the majority of my larges in W77 were 8-15 minutes, which is a great xp/hr rate as far as I'm concerned.

Them tards told me the reason was less xp as they gave me the heave [garden tool].

Of course I was happy to go since I was tired of carrying them since they didn't know how to kill mobs.

But, if you got a bug to abuse, please share.

I'd love to hear about how "xp off" bugs out the random aspect of the dungeon creation algorithm.

How is it a bug?

Crit doors are minimum of 9 levels below highest in floor, there is a certain xp for those 9 levels, xp share splits the door xp between people and so it is harder to work out crit doors.

It isn't a bug.

 

If one player in the party has xp share on, you split the xp gained from the door between other players. This makes it much harder to determine how much xp the door would have given you. Skill doors give xp: 5L+10 where L = level. Doors on the critical path must be between the maximum level in that skill in the party, and 9 below that.

 

So if I'm maxed and I see a thieving door gives me a 300 xp drop, then I know it's bonus. However, if one player in the team has shared xp on, unless the entire team has exactly the same levels (read: all maxed) you can't use this to determine the critical path. Since knowing which paths are bonus and which is crit is obviously very important, that's why having xp share on results in a kick.

Just be glad it was a reduction in general. Though I'm kinda bummed we didn't get extra tickets for flag caps, kills etc. would have been more logical.

Certainly, but how would that be different? Jagex has never scrapped anything, least of all a requirement that people already completed, only reduced (Livid is one, and TT got easier, but those were smallish nerfs, like this one).

the only thing they're really doing here is justifying a perpetuation of something dumb (one of many) based on the belief that since they had it before, it wouldn't be fair to not punish everybody for all perpetuity in order to be "fair", which totally makes sense compared to the whole of human advancement

 

if this feature was only truly meant for a handful of people, the requirements overall should be more outlandish and unrealistic as to underline that they really want to get the point across that people who strive for it are out of their gourds

Considering most people here arent even interested in the cape, this wouldnt even be a discussion if the leeches didnt damage the CW for the people playing it the way it was meant to be played. Because of that, the req ought to be removed. Unless, of course, CW is deserted without the leeches.

Tickets thing is broken, managed to get 2 gold tickets + 1 silver at 2v1, even with the person on the other team quitting so it was 2v0.

Managed to pull 21 captures in a game.
