Sir Valimont
Hello Runescapers, Once upon a time I was an avid Runescaper. That was years ago ... nice to see that people still play the game. I am currently putting together a video on game economics and could really use a video clip or a screenshot that shows someone selling Law Runes at 1k each, which used to be common practice 5-6 + years ago in the game. Perchance does anyone have something like this on hand? I would prefer an original, authentic image to something put together now. Can anyone help with this? Much appreciated, Sir V
Aiel
I don't remember anyone ever selling laws at 1k ea...people would buy them at 1k ea if they only needed a few right away. DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers ringsQBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow partsCR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size....It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty). It's because your join date is 2009.Laws were 1k each for ages back in classic/early rs2 before law altars were released on 24 August 2004
Aiel
5-6 years ago is 2007-2008, and I've been playing since 04. Could just recreate the screenshot in classic or 07. I don't think it's unreasonable to believe that a person who joined in 2009 didn't play in classic times.
Tui
I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that "5-6 + years ago" does not mean 9 years ago either. Ignoring the given information and calling someone out on that assumption that they weren't around in a different time frame is tad unreasonable, though. There's nothing wrong with giving that information, but acting as if you are somehow superior based on when you joined the game or the forums is unjustified arrogance. He didn't necessarily mean it that way, but the implications are there. I was parodying this rather than straight up saying so. I have a slight bias in that personally I'm on my 3rd tif account and I think I joined originally sometime in 2005. I don't believe most people register until they actually want to post something.
vmser
The era were law runes where that valuable, is perhaps around the time people were reaching 99 smithing. I remember selling 2 rune battle axes for 7k laws - but that valued them at around 500ea at the time. The 7k laws were turned into nats by telegrabbing them at the island south of greater demons (go figure) but it eventually set me on the path to 99 magic. Saradomin_Mage
7000 laws in RSC ... what. In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
vmser
7000 laws in RSC ... what. Given it was the first time I saw that many at once - i decided to go with the trade.(was 12th to 99 magic in RSC - peaked at rank 11 with 14.3m magic exp in rsc) Willing to bet bluerose had tons more though - I recall her charging 3k nats to smith a rune square - and you even needed to supply the rune bars yourself.
