Invasian Posted May 16, 2013 Share Posted May 16, 2013 (edited) So, I've been testing a few spots with red chins and recently stumbled upon a location that will yield over 400k ranged xp per hour with void. At the moment, the best range xp is just about 300k/h with waterfiends (Icefiends were nerfed). This location is the Abyss. I have tested several locations within the abyss and have concluded that the south-west region of the abyss has sufficient spawns to continually attack, making this method AFKable. That's right, an AFKable method that will gain you more xp than waterfiends. Charm, Chin, Cannonball hourly rates:- Gold/h: 65, Green/h: 320, Crim/h: 38, Blue/h: n/a (charming imp consumes it)- Chins used/h: 1.1k- Cannonballs used/h: 2.7k FAQs: Q. How much xp per kill, what's the effect if you get different monsters to come in, there are 3 types, does that change anything? A. Three types Abyss monsters: Leech (183xp/kill), Walker (295xp/kill), Guardian (not known). The spot I mentioned (south-west) has Abyssal walkers for the majority of spawns. Q. Are there any drops worth picking up? A. Charms (Green/Crimsons/Abyssal mainly), elemental talismans (89k ge price as of 17/05), noted pure ess. Q. How much damage do you take, could you go solely with prayer and last until that runs out? A. Soul split would be ideal, but no required. I'd have to do a few floors to get the charm imp and I will do that tomorrow and do some more tests to see charm rates. They mainly drop greens/crimsons though. If you want to know all that information either suggest these are areas that need researching or do the research yourself. Rather than having some sense of entitlement to this information from the OP just because he has started a discussion about this training method. I might go and do a few tests of this later myself as I have about 6k chins sitting in my bank gathering dust. Allmonkey Posted May 16, 2013 Share Posted May 16, 2013 I tried it out for an hour using full armadyl with anguish+overloads with illuminated unholy book because I'm not cool enough to have an o-hccb and got 240k ranged xp/hr. It's also not entierely afk because they will unaggro, and for lower population worlds with slower respawn times you'll have to be moving around to get them to bunch. I can see 400k total xp/hr but I just can't see 400k pure range xp/hr, unless I missed something incredibly important. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Artemis1330 Posted May 16, 2013 Share Posted May 16, 2013 I heard that chinning+cannon at dags (you need cannon post nerf) is ~400k range/hour + the charms (which should be at least 100k sum/hour worth.
