Momentuming QBD and Dominion Tower

Egh, was thinking of getting rid of a few comp reqs just in case I wanted to go for it in the end...

Just wondering if it is possible for someone like me to be able to momentum QBD. I refuse to use abilities since I detest EoC, so momentum is the way forward for me.

I'm working on getting full Tetsu... I don't have Drygores and quite frankly don't want to bother wasting money on them as I hardly ever combat anyways. What would be a good set up/inventory for me to use?

The second part is Dom Tower... Is that easy to momentum? Also what's the best way to get journal pages etc and complete Dom Tower? Since I need that for Desert Elite and Comp anyways. Also Sunfreet?

Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.

cant speak to QBD, but for dom tower i think i can at least try to help

abilities make it way faster, but i expect you could use momentum for the most part, there is one boss that comes to mind where you have to use abilities (the guy from another slice of ham) do not recall his name unfortunately (you need to use a stun ability), other then that i cannot think of another that requires abilities.

The fastest way that i found to get the journal pages is to do climber, get to where you do not think you can go further, hop out and then collect on your factor, if you get to about 250k you usually get like 2 or 3 pages, i managed to get all the pages before i got pretty much any of the other things done. got the last page right around 400 kills i think.

Sunfreet is actually pretty easy in EoC, the key to it is dodging his special attacks as that's where the only real damage comes from. You need to stand in the following places to dodge the fireballs:

1. Where you start the battle.

2. Outer edge of the arena.

3. Slightly further in from the edge (stand just at the edge of the fire)

4. Middle.

After that just attack him. If using melee when he crouches and starts to swing his tail, move or you'll get hit hard (like 3/4k). If he crouches and doesn't swing his tail, he's going to stun you so just turn your back on him.

That's all there is really, I only used 4 rocktail when I killed him the other week with CLS+EEE and that was mainly from running through the fires before they'd gone fully.

Slightly unrelated but if you're seriously considering completionist now, go do your 1k charm sprites asap before you start finishing off hunter. It's just wasted time otherwise.

if you are looking for help with the specials, i can try on that too.

For the chicken one, i found it to be the hardest/longest fight, you are going to want to make it so that the fewest number of chickens are attacking you at one time so run to an edge, then pick them off one at a time, a steel titan helps or perhaps a bob with extra food, my friend used a shield for the two healing things, i used range it worked fairly well, however abilities were very helpful.

for the dag sentinel one, stand under one of the sentinels and attack its partner, they wont be able to heal and you can pick them off one at a time this way,

for indigestion, attack flambeed and then karamel, and then dessourt. they are the biggest pains, flambeed can one hit you while the others are taking you down so watch your healths.

nomad, ignore the bombs, his attack while you are there is way less painful than the bombs, i ranged him, but i suppose you could smack him with what ever weapon you like.

for sunfreet, the pictures in the guide are pretty good, for where to stand.

the others are relatively easy.

I used to momentum QBD with dual drygore maces before they nerfed drygores. Kills were around 1.5 - 2 minutes. I haven't been back there since the nerf, but maging it with a wand and book/ranging with dual crossbows might be viable. :P

Sigfried definitely requires abilities, while Pest queen deals huge amount of damage if you don't use stun.

Be prepared for a long grind at Dom tower though, while it is possible to do DT with momentum, Abilities drastically shorten the time required. (To the point where I think it's arguable to just bear your hatred with EoC than it is to put up with the increased time it takes to do DT)

No way this is true. People got those times using all the tips and tricks available using full abilities, no way momentum did that well.

yeah, I tried a few momentum kills before the nerf (I think Ezk was actually the one who asked me too), and was getting like 3.5-4 minute kills (vs 2-2.5 with abilities).

DK drops (solo/LS): 66 hatchets, 14 archer rings, 13 berserker rings, 17 warrior rings, 12 seerculls, 13 mud staves, 7 seers rings

QBD drops: 1 kite, 2 visages, 4 dragonbone kits, 3 effigies, lots of crossbow parts

CR vs. CLS threads always turn into discussions about penis size.
...
It's not called a Compensation Longsword for nothing.

I've sent a 12k combat mission to have Aiel assassinated (poor bastard isn't even Pincers-tier difficulty).
