PolarBearBlue
If money is an issue then I would suggest switching to a crystal bow until you find a way to gain more money. It will be slightly weaker because greater demons are bolt weak, but it would still be better than melee considering the bolt weakness means they are range weak all around. This provided you have done the quest. Slyfoxuk
Absolutely agree with above post. I use Crystal bow and it's perfectly good. It may not be the best but it's still fast enough and likely to easily make back cash from alching drops.
Th e Doctor
Whoever recommended salamander and harrlander tars, thank you. Killing greater demons is so much easier now. One problem though, the harrlander tars are pretty expensive, 1,000 of them cost around 240K coins. I don't really know how to gain that much money quickly. Are you using abilities? Abilities do not use ammo so you shouldn't be going through more than a couple hundred per day if that's all you do for the day. Unless its different for salamanders but I doubt it. Blaze The Movie Fan
Which ability should I use then? Most of the abilities I'm aware of only work for melee. Yeah, I'm still pretty new to this EoC system. As for the crystal bow. Sure, I'll get one and use it. And yes I have finished the quest required in order to use one. I currently have less than 100K coins in bank. I hope that will be enough to get myself a crystal bow.
Hedgehog
Blaze, you made a lot of progress. I'm proud of you. You can view the ranged abilities by going to the spell tab and clicking the bow. 100k won't be enough for a crystal bow, so keep using a salamander.
Th e Doctor
The red is where you click to find the abilities as well as your basic abilities (the ones you don't need adrenaline to use). They all have different cooldowns (3,5,10,15,15 seconds) and you want to always be using an ability. To do this you can "rotate" through them by using the 3 second ability in between every other ability, and the 5s ability whenever its off cooldown between the 10s and 15s abilities. The yellow are your thresholds, which you can use at 50% adrenaline. Whenever you have the adrenaline your thresholds are not on cooldown use them, they deal way more damage than your basics. The other abilities you will never need to use because at the moment they aren't worth using. If you cap out your adrenaline that's ok. It just means as soon as a threshold is off cooldown you can use it again. Hope this helps. 1 Armadyl Drops : 4 Hilts; 3 Chestplates; 2 Chainskirts; 1 Helmet; 1 Buckler; 2 Shard 1; 2 Shard 2; 1 Shard 3Nex : 1 Zaryte BowKalphite King : 1 Drygore Rapier ; 1 Drygore Longsword : 1 Drygore Offhand Rapier : 1 Drygore Offhand Longsword
Cheefoo
But "dragon battleaxe is better than a whip" isn't an opinion, it's just plain WRONG. I'm not saying you HAVE TO use a whip, but it's 100% undeniably factually true that it is indeed better than a dragon battleaxe. I trust you are using offhand weapons too, right? Shields are rather pointless for killing large numbers of weak monsters. Twohanded weapons or dual wielding are the way to go. In case you're wondering why it took me so long to reply, well, I was taking a quick break from RuneScape. EDIT: And by the way, I really am loving the current system, it does make combat training more fun. It's a lot more fun than it was back before November of 2012.
