Anyone finding the bosses way too easy? The only one is teritus with the minions where you just have to freedom, but other then that they all use the same mechanics. Run and dont lag or you die. Just small variations between them like quintuses lines that you cant cross without taking damage.

In thinking they could add a 7th boss where you need one of each the 6 keys to enter and would use the mechanics from all 6 of the bosses and then have a much higher drop rate for signets but be random which one it drops.

These feel more like minibosses like the gw lieutenants anyway rather then a full boss.

Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!

They probably weren't considered legitimate bosses in conception. They are bosses in their own right because they can't be killed over and over without much risk of death.

Finally got another 10 k captain that wasn't speed (seafaring) with plucky, faster learner, and eager + 1 blank spot. Wewt I can finally dismiss my 10 k speed captain.

Wrong topic buddy :P.

Saw someone stating that the drop rate is probably closer to 1/100 kills per signet than 1/64.

It's been confirmed to be 1/64.

Yeah I'm not doubting, but a group of five friends said they all got their 1st signets around the 100th kill.

I'm wondering if jagex was smart enough to give each of the monsters different chances of dropping different keys? Only been killing the mobs of runts so far and i'm getting very few primus and secondus keys. Over 100 keys i've only gotten 2 primus and 2 secondus keys. Was jagex smart enough to give each monster different chances for certain keys so you can hunt for the keys you need? Or are we all just forced to camp mobs for the insane kills an hr?

^Seems unlikely since the drop tables all appear to be direct clones of each other.

I've been killing gladii and the capsii mostly and especially the gladii have been giving me primus keys mostly... like 6 in a row. Of course this is possible with 1/6th even chances for all keys but the chance is quite low... (1/6)^6.

I'm really proud of everyone for properly pluralizing these latin words.

Mod Doctor edited one of Mod Timbo's posts to mention that Scutarii were given a higher drop rate for keys than the other monsters after a patch.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

I feel like they made binding shot work even less often than it did upon release, but that's likely my imagination. But oh well. No more hunting Gladii for me then, back to the Scutarii. They've got better drops anyway.

Scutarii hmm... the gladii seemed to work better for me...

what about the critters? Are those supposed to have the same drop rate for keys then as gladii?

Any numbers for scutarii? To see if they would be worth it to duo to speed up kills or if soloing them is faster keys then the others still?

So, according to the FAQ,

[spoiler=Lore Spoilers]

1) Ocellus is still a Guardian of Guthix. Guardians do not need any special powers, assignment, or other special abilities--they just need to be someone who was a companion of Guthix at the end of the Third Age. The entire "pantheon of powerful Guthix Guardians" idea is a construct of misguided Guthix-worshippers in recent ages.

2) Ocellus has some relation to Zaros, and is considered "an insane demon".

3) The Godless will need to overcome the problems that Ocellus found when trying to make humans not need to worship.

4) The other Guardians despise Ocellus, because he has warped and twisted Guthix's teachings into something that is no longer anywhere near the way of Guthix.

So there is one more Guardian to find.

They didn't really say that he's got a relationship to Zaros though.

Why does Ocellus look so much like a blood reaver, and speaks of control being the only way to assure obedience? Is he perhaps Zarosian somehow?

Mod Jack: He also has a Latin name and tends to name things in Latin. I wonder if it’s a coincidence?

Honestly I thought that was just a cheeky comment about us looking to deep into things, though I guess it could be an implication.

Ocellus - little eye or darling (http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ocellus) (If that's not exactly right, don't bite my head, it was the best I could do from google.)

I can't think of how that would relate to Zaros.

It isn't the Ocellus definition part that is being referenced--it is that Zaros and his followers seem to use a lot of Latin language and are named as such. (See: Zaros GWD) The mod seems to be indirectly hinting that there is some sort of reason why there is so much linking him to Zaros and his followers.

I personally think that he is a former Zarosian demon who had been converted by Guthix into sanity, but slowly reverted back to his old Zarosian ways (Using total control as the best solution to his problems) when he went insane from guilt/sadness at Guthix's death.
