Wii's saving grace has always been Zelda, Super Mario, and its two other exclusive franchies. No moreso a swing than when MGS Revengance was released cross console. This isn't the first time it's happened with a canon MGS story. The PS3 version looked and played better. What will be the "big blow" is if that is no longer the case in this new gen of consoles. The PS3's power was one of its greatest selling points. It depends on how much of a loss Sony wants to take this time around on consoles, I guess. Considering the games they may or may not hype, it's a very good time to be a Nintendo fan. 8-) It's E3 with a new generation of consoles. Say what you'd like about DRM and all that nonsense but it's a great time to be a fan of any new console. Everything is new to the player, from features to new IPs to continuing titles. Likely there's going to be a price drop announced for the WiiU, fingers crossed. Otherwise it'll remain a dusty number on my VG to-purchase list. Not many titles appeal to me, but it was good to see them focus on games in contrast to their reveal. Looking forward to Sony (which I do think will disapoint, but i'll gladly eat crow if not) and specially the nintendo Direct, which will be liek christmas eve with Smash+X+Retro Studios. I believe i read somewhere valve wouldnt show up, and with no new console-able games coming from valve i wouldnt count on it in the slightest. Less than 1,500 people were playing the main slayer playlist on H4 yesterday morning when I logged on. There are very few people who will argue the Halo franchise is a major player in the online competitive FPS scene. H4 was flawed on release in so many small ways, it definitely felt like a case of "too many chefs". More time is now spent playing Reach than H4, which just about sums up how much of a disaster H4 was and how much trust people lost in 343.
