Error_game_webgl - help please

Yeah I somehow lost my way and can't get html5 beta to load and its getting increasingly frustrating every day I try to log in.

I'm running on a windows vista 64x with AMD Radeon HD 5450 and the current driver version is 8.960.11.1000.

My processor is an AMD Phenom II x4 945 as well.

What the hell is going on? Please help and thank you.

what browser you use. Webgl is the 3d rendering engine for html5 - though each browser implements it itself and in their own way. Internet explorer simply only implements it in IE 10 + (Windows 7+) so you can't use any 3d game with ie lower than that.

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Not sure what the problem is then: but try different browser & new clients. Do know that webgl is still very experimental for browsers themself too, the first draft was created less than a year ago. So not only rs may crash from one update to another: browsers itself can also change the behaviour a lot.

Try running ipconfig /flushdns in an elevated command prompt and trying again.

tried it and no dice. Still wont load it.

Is there a way to tell if my graphics card or driver is blacklisted for webgl?

Did you finally try different browsers? That ought to be your first try always with these things.

Like I said: other browser vendors implement webgl in their own way. HTML5 is not a special thing: it is just an umbrella term to describe capabilities of browsers (IE 3d rendering, canvas 2d, websounds, web sockets for multiplayer etc). However the exact details of all those things, and hence the exact bugs are always the responsibility of the browser vendor: so a certain program might work with chrome but not with firefox, or something might even exclusive to firefox etc etc.

That is simply stupid.

It is not up to jagex to say HOW the 3d is implemented: if I want a text based presentation of the data RS sends I should be free to load any html5 game in lynx.. Same for other things, mozilla allows for a great developpers console allowing you to see also with inverted z axes or remove skins.

Except Firefox has (or had, unsure if that was fixed) a glitch in their implementation of HTML5 that prevented RS from working properly...

What glitch? I'm quite active in the mozilla html5 development, and would love to see this. So far main reason people say something glitches is because they themself do not follow the standard and rely on shortcuts instead of proper. Firefox has been historically the most standard confirmant browser (just like how chrome has always been the fastest)- so firefox+firebug I would personally advice for anyone who does debugging work of HTML5 application. (Any beta players thus). Especially since the authors of the original webgl specification is the mozilla foundation - the same people who create firefox.

Ok so chrome 28 didn't work and i checked the kronos wikia to see if my system was blacklisted, but wasn't.

Is there a way to work with my graphics card or drivers to see if something there is messing it up?

Apparently html5 beta will load in software mode. I just remembered to hold down S when it was loading and it went through. But now I'm sitting at a 1-4 fps which is crap compared to getting 25-30 before things went awry.
