How has the new combat system effected Xp?

Hey team, been out of the game for some time. Just wondering how this new combat system effects how much exp one gains.

For example, these new abilities increase the damage you can deal, so has the exp been modified accordingly?

If that is the case, is it quite slow just to grind out exp on slayer? What I mean is, historically, I would just click, and wait for a creature to die. Obviously, to maximise xp gains, you have to pay a fair bit of attention?

Hope this makes sense

Cheers.

XP is awarded at the end of a kill now, as opposed to you receiving it for each point of damage you deal. Most monsters also operate under a "tagging" system, meaning that the first person to attack a monster tags it and receives all of the XP and loot when that monster is killed.

XP has been modified on just about every monster so the higher levelled ones give increasingly more XP (ganodermic beasts are over 3k a pop iirc). You can also kill them much more quickly if you make use of a good ability rotation.

If you're not keen on using abilities, you can kill monsters in the old style by activating the Momentum ability (found in the ability book under the Constitution abilities tab). This increases the damage you deal with autoattacks (click and wait), and automatically uses some basic abilities. Note that if you want to use Momentum, you can only activate it when out of combat, and once you are using Momentum, triggering any other ability will cancel it.

Slayer XP is relatively faster now compared to pre-EOC.

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.
