michel555555
they've lost control of vorago... he shall doom us all!! 2 [spoiler=click you know you wanna]Me behave? Seriously? As a child I saw Tarzan almost naked, Cinderella arrived home from a party after midnight, Pinocchio told lies, Aladin was a thief, Batman drove over 200 miles an hour, Snow White lived in a house with seven men, Popeye smoked a pipe and had tattoos, Pac man ran around to digital music while eating pills that enhanced his performance, and Shaggy and Scooby were mystery solving hippies who always had the munchies. The fault is not mine! if you had this childhood and loved it put this in your signature!
Ezkaton
^ Essentially it. Something is horribly wrong with Vorago which has been causing constant world crashes ever since they released him this time yesterday. Some of those crashes were people DDOSing Dardan and Woox. But most since have almost certainly been because of Vorago. Hell at 1am last night Jagex booted 50k players from the game and rolled back 5 or so minutes for some reason. Reacting impulsively and saying what's on your mind feels oh so good.. for a little, until you realize you just started WWIII.2672nd person to reach 2496 total. Thanks to Wicked for the awesome siggy :D
Warlover
Wasnt a manual rollback. Every few minutes the games records the status of every player online. When the server crashed, everyone reverted to their last save effectively mimicking a rollback. So many instances of Vorago are messing up the servers big time. Hopefully they'll have it fixed soon because you know they aren't going to remove Vorago to fix it as the only way to know if a patch works is too see if it does publicly. They wouldn't have rolled out Vorago if they knew this would happen. -- 2001 Starter --
Kaur
[qfc]15-16-272-65055398[/qfc] Hi Yesterday, on the 3rd of July, we experienced some system outages in one of our data centres. As a result, some of our game worlds were down. We want to apologise for these outages and assure you that we are working extremely hard to address them. We pride ourselves in being able to provide you with a reliable service 24/7/365 and any downtime is completely unacceptable to us. We know what the problems are and what is responsible. We are working to resolve this. The issues relate specifically to do with our server hosting environment and not with the awesome game content that we launched yesterday. We would also like to apologise to any players that lost items during the outage. We are currently investigating impacted accounts and will be replacing their equipment as a priority. If you lost items, please post on this thread using this QFC: 15-16-867-65055389. We will be cross-checking any reports with our own data to ensure all (and only) fair and legitimate claims are addressed. In the short term, we are changing some of our gravestone code to allow players to bless the graves of disconnected players. Expect to see that fix in the very near future. Mylez
This isn't DDoS, or DoS - those terms get thrown around too loosely.

This isn't DDoS, or DoS - those terms get thrown around too loosely. (DDoS= Distributed Denial of Service, DoS= Denial of Service. Yes, I know this is bleedingly obvious for some, but I'm putting it out there for those not familiar with the terms.) If this was not a Denial of Service-type of attack, what was it, then? Please, go ahead, be as technical as you like; I won't mind, at least. Granted, I would guess Jagex isn't forthcoming because they think that might encourage further server attacks. @Ezkaton: I do not know who Dardan is (just looked him up at the Wikia RS Wiki) but Woox has been mentioned so many times here I'd be comatose not to have noticed. Also not surprised that other players would try to spam top players. Horridly immature IMO but totally congruent with the loudmouthed, rude, vocal slice of the playerbase, I think.
