Estonian dude
I have never bought anything from Steam, is there something matter with me? So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. chenw
Nope, Stay off it, it's like a dangerously addictive drug. Put it this way, the only games I had on steam since two years ago were HL2, Episode 1 and 2, TF, and L4D, and I Created the account since Orange box days. Two years later, I have over 70 games on Steam, a good number of which I have yet to touch. It could just be me with some self control issues though... 1 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. Estonian dude
I do have some games on Steam, but I haven't bought any. I got Portal for free when Steam was launched on Mac and I also redeemed one of my Humble Bundles on Steam. So I've noticed this thread's regulars all follow similar trends. jasignhagj
I wonder if they'll drop 50% off Brave New World for Civ V, it's the only thing I really want to get for the remainder of the sale. Might pick up some cheap CKII DLC too.
stevepole
I'm hoping Civ 5 wins the community choice. I would love to get it at that price.
Dizzle229
Bought Dishonered. Ok. I'm done now. Seriously. I have 5 games in my Steam list that I've yet to play. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
Blutters
I'm seriously considering Dishonored as well. :)All I bought so far was Painkiller HD, just because I've been dying to see what even changed in it (especially after being disappointed by Doom 3 BFG Ed). Not sure it really fared any better.

Dizzle229
Only buy SimCity 4 if you're expecting to manage a city rather than design and customize it. Get back here so I can rub your butt.
chenw
Ah, I was hoping Sim City 4 was in some part similar to Sim City 2000 (I am pretty sure this is the version I remember), where I can design the layout of my own city. 6,924th to 30 hunting, 13,394th to 30 summoning, 52,993rd to 30 DivinationKiln Record (Post-EoC): W 25 - L 0, 14 Uncut Onyx, 8 Jad hits received (Best record: Two in the same kiln)Obby set renewed post update #2: 0QBD drops: 21 crossbow parts, 3 Visages, 1 Kites, 2 KitsMax Port Score [2205] Achieved: 27th April 2013 (World 2nd) Farmyard Rampage ranking: 12th, 50,000 Kills. iBe
Anyone played either SimCity 4 or The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing? I am thinking of getting them, they are on for -70% and -50% respectively I bought Van Helsing a few months ago but haven't played it much. I'll try it out tonight and let you know what I think tomorrow. you could also watch this:
Giordano
Ah, I was hoping Sim City 4 was in some part similar to Sim City 2000 (I am pretty sure this is the version I remember), where I can design the layout of my own city.It is. There's two types of (unofficial) game modes, similar to Minecraft if you know of it:Vanilla/Mayor-mode: Play as the mayor and build your city thru budgeting, planning, and time. You'll need to "play" the game: attract residents, build infrastructure, make your subjects happy, promote wealthier residents/businesses, etc.Creative: Build whatever, whenever, free, instantly. This is like the SC2K Urban Renewal Kit if you've ever used it.Problem is, to get to the "creative mode" you need to get mods. Mods that make all buildings ploppable, infinite money, no resident needs, etc., so you can just focus on designing your metropolis. ----I've lost track on what I said what I bought so far, so I'll make a list: Half Life Collection......Late to the party on this, never played any Half Life. Haven't played it yet.Sleeping Dogs......Entertaining but feels too similar to GTA4. For $6 it's still a bargain. Not done with it yet, still in the beginning.Deux Ex: Human Revolution...Another late to the party. Haven't played it yet.Borderlands 2......Great fun. Gunzerking is the best! Definitely waiting for Kebal Space Program to go for 75%, hell I'll buy it at 50% at this rate. "The cry of the poor is not always just, but if you never hear it you'll never know what justice is." Skull
I can't afford anything so I've made a point to not look at all. I got a laptop with gaming specs and haven't bought a single game since I got it. Kind of dumb, but I guess that's what happens when you're unemployed. Maybe I will look though, I could probably spend $20ish without feeling too bad about it. I am thinking of getting them, they are on for -70% and -50% respectively If you liked Diablo 2/3 at all, you'll probably enjoy Van Helsing. It isn't a very long game, but very fun regardless. Kimberly
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUAItQmq-LU So overall this steam sale, I purchased...very little actually haha. My friend sent me a copy of Just Cause when it was 25 cents. Boyfriend purchased Skyrim Legendary Edition, some indie games like Rogue Legacy, etc. It was a pretty nice sale, but god I hate trading cards.
