Fighting Calculator

It seems the Fighting Calculator in the Special Calculators section is not working. The Tip.It site can find my account information well enough for me to use the skill calculators and the quest calculator, but when I try to use the find stats with account name option in the Fighting Calculator, it just sits at 0 on every skill. I've even manually put in the xp totals of each skill listed there and it still doesn't react. So this leads me to believe that the Fighting Calculator is broken and needs looking into.

Hey,

just letting you know that yes, it definitely is broken.

The fighting calculator and the ranged calculator share the same problem. Even if they were working, they haven't been updated to EoC standards so wouldn't be of any use.

We are working on creating a new calculator system (see this thread, http://forum.tip.it/...rs-and-planners, for more info), rather than fix those two which are currently broken/outdated.

Thanks.

Yeah as a matter of fact we're working on one to help you calculate how many monsters you need to kill to level a given skill on a given mode (i.e., how many kills to level my Defence to 70 if I have my xp split between Defence and Ranged). The main task at this point is deciding which monsters to include, breaking them into categories, and tracking down how much XP and what combat level they are, since a lot of that information on our site is sadly out of date.

Also, the link is to an old (hidden) thread made a couple years ago about some database improvements that would allow rehauling the calculators and making them update themselves automatically for new items and training methods. I think that's still a work in progress though.
