Show of hands: Who here thinks that Player Owned Port mechanics make it a legit method of obtaining the highest level armor currently available in game? I know many feel that high level armor and weapons should only come from boss monsters. However, I've argued that if you have a method that requires multiple high level skills, a bit of luck, a lot of time and/or tediousness then even non-combat skills can be a great way to create player made high level armor and weapons.

I'm sure that trade goods will be more available to players that get to the last area and have maxed out crews. However, I'm also going to guess that special voyages in the 6th area will never be 100% so you're always risking some kind of loss on top of having the luck of a special trade goods voyage pop up. It's a balanced method akin to camping Nex with regards to creating high level gear. I hope that Jagex keeps releasing other methods that plays on this concept (flasks and bloodwood trees for example).

I think it can roll over if you leave one over the reset. Or maybe the meeting missions don't count.

Is there any way to remove bad traits? Got a captain for 2500 that has 200/200/500/200, but he has 2 -50 traits :(

302 bamboo and we'll see what the workshop is like. 160 and 80 bamboo missions on the ballet with a 40 bamboo mission just sent.

Meeting voyages don't count toward the 2 conveniently. Now that I'm in Hook I finally got a voyage reroll that I won't be able to use to it's full extent.Maybe I'll use it when I get new crew to level them up in Skull region.

Apparently the workshop has a cooking station for rocktail soup, scrimshaw crafter for all ten scrimshaws, an anvil outside to smith tetsu armour, a crafting bench outside to make seasinger robes and a bank box to withdraw items. The only big issue I see is that theer is nothing to make the death lotus armour unless it has to do with the table with the arrows, feathers and knives stuck into it over in the corner.

My concerns were confirmed that you don't get bonus xp on anything other than what you craft from the player-owned ports. I tried fletching maple long bows and was getting around 57.33 xp each in the workshop. I tested the xp outside to find that it was the same rate. Although the upside is that you now can do bank skills and such inside the port (no firemaking or using bars on the anvil)

Here is what it looks like:

Working on getting the renovated shipwright upgrade for 3% ship stat boosts (2k gunpowder). After that I'll work on getting the reffitted lodgings for 2% better chance at finding beter crew (1.5k gunpowder). Currently have 830 so probably a couple days.

Crafting bench makes both seasinger and death lotus gear afaik

In real life MMO you don't get 99 smithing by making endless bronze daggers.

Logmein is so much better. I used to use teamviewer, but it came with few too little options to maximize frame refreshing when out of network.

Also on the workshop you make death lotus on the workbench too I just didn't look at the drop down menu :P. still very nice to have a bank!

Meg for the week:
Meg - "So I decided that I need to get in touch with my spiritual side. I'm heading into Lumbridge to learn the secrets of the Saradominist church there."
Meg - "You know, the one by the graveyard. Any advice?"
Options: 1. Kill some goblins and bury their bones. - I chose.
2. Be quiet and polite. It is a place of worship, after all.
3. Talk to Xenia in the nearby graveyard. She is an experience adventurer.
4. Be sure to go in disguise.
Meg - "Mhm, yep, got that. Just let me write that down...how do I spell that?"
Meg - "Oh, while I've got you - I was planning on seeing if I could use a bow and arrow as a sort of grappling hook thing. What do you think?
Options: 1. Use the arrows as footholds instead.
2. You'd be better off using a crossbow. - I chose.
3. Arrows aren't generally good at holding weight.
Meg - "Oh, okay. I think I can handle that."
Meg - "I want to cross terrain faster. What animals are safe to ride?" (possible mount spoiler :P)
Options: 1. None that I know of. - I chose.
2. I guess unicorns, if you can tame them.
3. I'd stick to going on foot.

When she gets back I'll let you know if my answers were right or not. :D

Anyone know what happens when your captain has 4 traits and you do another trait mission with him?

I noticed her response is random regardless of which choice you pick. If you tell her unicorns, she might say, "Really? Are you sure...?" but if you cancel out and talk to her again and choose unicorns again, she might say "Brilliant!"

In other words, either your responses don't matter, her responses don't matter, or you should keep resetting the conversation until she responds to each of your suggestions favorably.

To me, the answers seem to have an unfavorable outcome, an average outcome, and a favorable outcome as a result.

Generally, hard facts or advice seem to work better than confidence boosters or unfounded responses.

So anyone else going off the bruteforce path to buy upgrades to the port before continuing on?
