Lynx Titan is the first person to gain 6,586.92 EHP in a year.

1 Lynx Titan 9,130EHP +120EHP +34,mXP: (18m Herblore)(3,1m Slayer)(1,3m Farming)(2,1m Ranged)

Lynx is doing a mix between Slayer and Herblore. He achieved 100m Herblore and seem to acquired a steady herblore pace towards 200m. It’s also worth a mention that he also got rank 1 Herblore Month.

Upcoming Milstones: 2B Total xp, 150m Herblore

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 Vestfold 8,560EHP +84EHP +8,6mXP: (6,2m Fishing)(1,1m Farming)()

Nothing special from Vestfold either, except from making a video there he states he is not going for 200m all.  His gains has been as usual 3tick fishing plus some farm xp.

Upcoming Milstones: 50m Farming

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 Trance Music 6,866EHP +114EHP +13,3mXP: (1,5m Slayer)(2,3m Agility)(1,1m Ranged)(855k Farm)

Trance did a lot of Agility of the start of the week, but switched to Slayer some days later. Will be interesting to see how long Trance is going to keep Slaying in the future.

Upcoming Milstones: Hard to predict

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 Hey Jase EHP 6,701EHP +56EHP +13,2mXP: (2,6m Slayer)(1,1m Farming)(2,4m Ranged)

Hey Jase is still slaying while doing his daily tree runs.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 N01perfect 6,595EHP +84EHP +2,4mXP: (2,3m Runecrafting)

Runes has 182m Runecrafting xp while N01 has 175m. That means N01 much have a nearly 30% higher pace than Runes to overtake him. And N01 has still not started to do lavas.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 Malt Lickeys 6,475EHP +49EHP +12,9mXP: (2,3m Slayer)(2,1m Ranged)(1,3m Farming)

Rank 1 slayer is still  doing Slayer while getting the regular farm xp from trees. He also achieved 50m Farming xp.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7 Sick Nerd (Sickburnout) 6,410EHP +0EHP +0XP:

Inactive

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 Randalicious 6,158EHP +63EHP +23,4mXP: (18m Herblore)(1m Woodcutting)(1,3m Farming)

Randalicious pretty much only did Herblore this week with some surprising xp in the nonbuyable skill woodcutting.

Upcoming Milstones: First to 6 200m’s

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9 Mini Finbarr 6,137EHP +82EHP +18,9mXP: (3,7m Slayer)(1,2m Farming)(3m Ranged)(1,1m Magic)

The leader of Solace is still Slaying while getting the regular Farming xp as well.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 Senze 5,848EHP +80EHP +22mXP: (16,5m Crafting)(3m Smithing)(1,1m Farming)

Senze did a mix between Crafting air battlestaffs and Smithing runite items while getting the standard farming xp from magic and palm trees.

Upcoming Milstones: 100m Crafting 50m Farming

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11 Viore 5,826EHP +91EHP +14,1mXP: (2,9m Frishing)(1,3m Farming)(650k Agility)

Viore did a big 3tick Fishing week while doing some regular farm trees.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12 Gingbino 5,772EHP +47EHP +5,4mXP: (3,3m Fishing)(1,1m Farming)

Nothing new from the Hexis general 3tick fishing/ imbue with some farming xp from trees. He also achieved 50m Farming this week.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13 Razor Beast 5,518EHP +73EHP +30,8mXP: (27,6m Firemaking)(1,4m Farming)(1,4m Magic)

Razor achieved 100m Firemaking and still seems not to have burned through his bank yet. I expect him to stop before 200m though because of the adze update.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14(+1) Scotwilson 5,506EHP +124EHP +6,6mXP: (2,3m Runecrafting)(800k Wood)(1,3m Fishing)

Based on Scot’s mining gains I predict that 600-700k of the Runecrafting xp is from double nats and rest is lavas. He also got some xp In woodcutting as the reddit competition is Woodcutting this week.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15(-1) Viper Kai 5,450EHP +44EHP +5,8mXP: (4,3m Woodcutting)(250k Farming)()

Viper lost a rank to Scot this week and still seems to be afking teaks with adze.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside of the top 15:

Trickool is currently 70 EHP from Viper

it's very unlikely that he used tickets, as you can see here http://crystalmathla...-09-28T07:26:55 he never gained more than 6ehp in a xp log, but i guess you can never know 100% sure because he could of course done some cheeky tickets within short logs, but it's very unlikely as his agility graph is very even

A person that suffers of burnout syndrome would never think about being determined to anything, much less in a new context as real life that, following my previous post, a RuneScape nolifer might not be used to.

I think it's more the fact that there's no major risk or opportunity cost involved with RS skilling (strictly within the context of RS, that is). It'd be different if, like in real life, you weren't 100% guaranteed XP for doing a certain task, and XP wasn't permanent. I can go to the gym and bench 200 lbs but there's no guarantee that I'll be able to bench 205 lbs the following week, or even 200 lbs again. Similarly that time spent benching is time that could've been spent reading or squatting or something. While bench progress goes up, progress in other aspects of life regresses. So you have to pick just one area of your life to make progress in at a time or else you won't end up making much progress at anything... As opposed to RS where you can take a year off and your stats won't have decayed at all and gaining XP will be even easier after a year's worth of updates to skilling.

It kinda makes sense when you think about how risk-averse the stereotypical gamer is :P

1 Lynx Titan 9,270EHP +126EHP +34,3mXP: (19m Herblore)(3m Slayer)(1,7m Ranged)(500k Magic)

Lynx achieved 2B xp and is the first person to do so. He also got not one but two golden gnome awards as the Jagex moderators did not know that Forseberg888 and Lynx Titan is the same person. His gains was like usual, a mix between slayer and Herblore. He also got a very low Ranged:Slayer ratio this week.

Upcoming Milstones: 150m Herblore

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 Vestfold 8,645EHP +78EHP +7,7mXP: (3,5m Fishing)(2,1m Agility)()

Vestfold needed a 3tick fish break and switched to Agility.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 Trance Music 6,974EHP +102EHP +12,3mXP: (3,1m Agility)(1m Slayer)(883k Ranged)(1m Magic)

Trance switched from Slayer to Agility. Interesting enough Trance seem to be one of few that does not care about overall skill ranks as he seems not to be interested in finishing 200m Thieving yet for the last front page rank.

Upcoming Milstones: Hard to predict

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 Hey Jase EHP 6,761EHP +53EHP +11,5mXP: (2,2m Slayer)(2m Ranged)(1,1m Farming)(287k Magic)

Jase is still Slaying while doing tree runs.

Upcoming Milstones: 50m Slayer

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 N01perfect 6,699EHP +94EHP +2,6mXP: (2,5m Runecrafting)

Nothing new here, double nats all the way.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 Malt Lickeys 6,531EHP +43EHP +9,9mXP: (1,8m Slayer)(1m Farming)(1,7m Ranged)

Rank 1 Slayer is still Slaying and seem to have a steady pace towards a very well deserved rank 1.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7 Sick Nerd (Sickburnout) 6,410EHP +0EHP +0XP:

The former rank 1 in EHP got 12k Combat xp

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8 Randalicious 6,218EHP +60EHP +22mXP: (17m Herblore)(1,1m Farming)(1,7m Strength)

Randy achieved 200m Herblore xp and is at the same time the first person to 6 200m’s. At the moment it seems like he is going to be first to 7 200m’s, because he has 127m xp in strength. The gains was like the usual a lot of Herblore with some afk Strength from NMZ and Farm xp from tree runs

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9 Mini Finbarr 6,188EHP +47EHP +11mXP: (2,1m Slayer)(1,1m Farming)(1,8m Ranged)(400k Magic)

A bit lower gains this week than usual from the leader of Solace, this is logical as he was attending runefest this week.  The gains was pretty much standard, Slayer with farm xp from tree runs.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

10 Senze 5,928EHP +70EHP +21,5mXP: (16,5m Crafting)(3m Smithing)(1,1m Farming)

Senze did pretty much the same as last week, a mix between Craft and Smith with the standard farm xp.

Upcoming Milstones: 100m Crafting

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

11 Viore 5,902EHP +74EHP +16mXP: (2,4m Slayer)(1,1m Farming)(2,6m Ranged)(880k Magic)

Viore seems to be one of the few skill hoppers in the top 15, this week Slayer was the chosen one with usual farm xp as well.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

12 Gingbino(Fix Fish EHP) 5,818EHP +45EHP +5,2mXP: (3,1m Fishing)(1m Farming)(441k Magic)

Nothing new here from the rank 1 hunter pure, 3tick fish with magic xp from imbue and farm xp from trees.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

13(+1) Scotwilson 5,598EHP +89EHP +12,5mXP: (8,4m Wc)(1,7m Fm)(1,2m Farm)(1m Magic)

Scot barely passed Razor with 1 EHP and did it with a pretty good Woodcutting week. I predict that we will probably hop to another skill next week as it seems he did Woocutting because it was this weeks Reddit competition.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

14(-1) Razor Beast 5,597EHP +68EHP +26,8mXP: (20,9m Fm)(1,2m Smith)(1,1m Herblore)(1,5m Farm)

Razor is still on the fast xp grind and seem to have nearly reached the max Firemaking xp for the macro efficient mind set for adze. He seems now to have switched to a mix between Smithing and Herblore.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

15 Viper Kai 5,481EHP +29EHP +5,6mXP: (2,7m Woodcutting)(1,6m Flethcing)(576k Firemaking)

Viper is still woodcutting while getting some Fletching xp as well. I would not be surprised if the Fletch xp is from magic long bows as it would explain why his gains are a bit lower than usual.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Outside of the top 15:

Trickool(BigBoi Ronan) is closer than ever to the top 15, and it is fun to see that Acid Soul has climbed to rank 17.

RuneScape nolifers fail to realize what they could achieve if they applied the same amount of determination in real life.

Progressing in a video game is actually considered an achievement by many, especially those receiving that feeling of happiness.

Just because in the eyes of others your achievement seems dull, doesn't mean it is. For example, you can go to the gym a lot and build huge muscle, you and some others will see that as an achievement, but there will be some people out there who will comment "waste of time." This is the same for pretty much everything; video making, photography, arts, writing, dance, even study.

We all have opinions and are free to express them, but using nolifers and fail in terms of gaining an achievement is a fail in itself.

The difference between video games and weightlifting, however, is that there's a much greater opportunity cost in gaming. Unless you're streaming your video game adventures and consequently raking in a ton of income for doing so, you're sacrificing progress in other aspects of your life if you're playing video games for 16+ hours/day. Conversely, with weightlifting you're usually only in the gym for 2 hours per day max, and weightlifting has many secondary benefits such as overall boosts in health and dating success.

There's obviously a line somewhere between obsession and dedication, but I think the term nolifer came about because it implies that one has no life outside of video games; no career/fitness/relationship goals; only video games. Whereas most people who spend their time with video making, photography, arts, writing, dance, study, etc. are also doing so with their careers or personal development in mind. At best, you could compare a hardcore gamer to an artist or an Olympic athlete. But at worst, you could compare one to a drug addict

As a friend of many of them, I did not use the term nolifers as an insult; it's how they identify themselves.

The term fail was a way I used to avoid using the negative form in my sentence. Feel free to suggest any other word.

If you want to look at it from a neuroscience perspective, very simply putting, your brain produces dopamine each time you accomplish something. Dopamine is what gives you the good feeling after you've accomplished something. The amount of dopamine that your brain produces is positevely correlated to how meaninful the said achievement is for you.

By knowing this, you can very easily realize why people play RuneScape, read, work out, and just about everything else. (You can begin to suspect what goes in people's brain when they state they've no motivation.)

One of the things about RuneScape is, as someone previously stated, the low (or noexistent) risk involved. This is very significative point to consider when today's society is full of many different fears, specially the youth.

I'm not against people that play RuneScape, whether that is casually or intensively. As I've stated, I've many friends who do so and, consequently, I've great respect for them.

My main point is that I feel quite bad when I see so many people (including many of my friends) nolifing RuneScape just because of their fears. (With this I'm not saying I support #fearless or any similar nonsense)

Sorry for being 1 day late for no good reason :/

1 Lynx Titan 9,398EHP +126EHP +35,2mXP: (2,4m Slayer)(22m Herblore)(1,2m Farming)(1,4m Range)

Another normal week from Lynx who is tearing through Herblore while doing Slayer when he is out of supplies. He also achieved 150m Herblore xp this week.

Upcoming Milstones: 50m Slayer 150m Herblore

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2 Vestfold 8,742EHP +91EHP +9,2mXP: (6,3m Fishing)(1,2m Farming)(907k Agility)

Vestfold seems to be done with his Agility break as his Strength xp indicates that he has only done 2 hours of Agility this week. Interesting enough Vest gained 240k Magic xp which indicates that he has started to imbue while doing 3tick which is a new thing for Vest.

Upcoming Milstones: 50m Farming

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

3 Trance Music 7,083EHP +108EHP +15mXP: (9,4m Hunter)(2,3m Agility)(1,8m Magic)

Another big Agility week from Trance who also got a lot of xp in Hunter. This made him also achieve 50m Hunter. I have also heard that Trance has the interesting goal to get 200m all without a single top page skill, which also explains why he was not interested in the last top page rank in Thieving.

Upcoming Milstones: Hard to predict

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4 Hey Jase EHP 6,838EHP +65EHP +23,3mXP: (21m Herblore)(1,2m Farming)(242k Slayer)

Jase seems to have stocked up some herb supplies and used them this week. I expect him to switch back to Slayer next week.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

5 N01perfect 6,796EHP +93EHP +2,6mXP: (2,5m Runecrafting)

Nothing new here. It’s almost as he has given up on rank 1 Runecrafting as Runes has currently a 9m lead, and I’m not even sure if he will be able to catch up even if he started doing lavas today.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

6 Malt Lickeys 6,593EHP +55EHP +13,3mXP: (2,3m Slayer)(1,2m Farming)(2m Ranged)

Rank 1 Slayer is still doing pure Slayer weeks.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

7 Sick Nerd (Sickburnout) 6,410EHP +0EHP +0XP:

Upcoming Milstones: None

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

8(+1) Mini Finbarr 6,264EHP +72EHP +17,6mXP: (3,5m Slayer)(3m Ranged)(1m Magic)

The leader of Solace passed Randy for an EHP rank and seems to continue his Slayer grind.

Upcoming Milstones:100m Slayer

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

9(-1) Randalicious 6,254EHP +35EHP +8,7mXP: (1,6m Fm)(577k Wc)(1,7m Strength)(662k Slay)

The leader of Hexis seems to be doing a lot skill hopping now. Maybe trying to figure out his next 200m goal.

Upcoming Milstones: Nothing in sight

I find it interesting that Lynx is doing slayer and herblore at the same time, and he's still #1 or #2 for the month in both.  He even got an herblore month record while also getting the second most xp in slayer.  Why didn't he just completely crush herblore instead of doing just a few hours a day?

Because he lacks the mental capacity to train one skill at a time.
