Herblore advice

Since i do warbands everyday and pvm quite alot i'm looking to get overloads rather soon.

and in preperation for that i was going to make 1k of each extreme for the overloads, im 89 herblore at the moment and was just wondering how much exp would this give me and how much would it cost?

so it'd be:

- 1000 x extreme strengths

- 1000 x extreme attack

- 1000 x extreme defence

- 1000 x extreme ranging

- 1000 torstols for overloads

- 1000 overloads?

how far would this get me in terms of exp and levels? if i dont make 96 i can boost to 96 for overload making?

Boosts can be used up to +6 levels however +6 is very rare, brown spicy stew can be used to boost herblore however it can affect some other stats instead, it is also not guaranteed to boost it by a set amount and can reduce the level temporarily. Super restore potions can offset this. Greenman's ale can also be used to boost herblore, +1 for standard version and +2 for mature version, I believe the lobby trick still works in which you boost to the level, lobby at just before 30 secs of overload making and then log back in, this will keep the level boosted.

Extreme attack - 5353 p/potion - 5353 x 1000 = 5,353,000

Extreme strength - 11075 p/potion - 11075 x 1000 = 11,075,000

Extreme ranging - 17014 p/potion - 17014 x 1000 = 17,014,000

Extreme magic - 6914 p/potion - 6914  x 1000 = 6,914,000

Total: 55,934,000M

55,934,000/ 2,200,000 = 25gp/exp.

 

End result = 1000 overloads and a very dry bank..

8-12 hours of QBD with overloads will quickly make it back.

Yeah, my inventory with torva/drygores/yak is 1 ovl/renewal/super antifire/adren flask, 4-5 super restores (depending on aura) and the rest rocktails.

I use yak since I haven't really tested bunyip recently, fill that with rocktails. Tank fire waves, first few soul spawns, maybe the 4 soul spawn if you want fast kills, dodge the extreme firebreath and if you can't do the final stage fast enough, kill the timestop soul.

 

Borrowed image from google, this is where you want to stand, this enables you to avoid the damage of a fire wave with the opening at that spot.

Penance or vampyrism aura, doesn't really matter, you won't need a renewal with the penance aura.

This should get you 20-25 kills an hour, my current average/kill is around 310k but that is with 59 kill average.

Bring adrenaline potions if you have them. You can bust out a threshold faster while under berserk with them.

Would substituting Yak with a War tortoise be enough? Or would I not have enough emergency food?

I was using around 4 rocktails a kill, depending on the gear you might use a bit more but the downgrade should only result in 3-4 kills less a trip,

I wouldnt use a familiar at QBD, banking is like 30 seconds and familiars are a pita.

Yak extends trip by around 1/3 which makes it around 30mins, just enough for overload flask.

how are you using ~50 rocktails+rocktail drops in 30 mins at QBD? I haven't been QBD in forever, but I'm pretty sure my trips were lasting a half hour without a yak and the limiting factor was usually prayer.

Yak adds extra kills, takes a few secs to fill up and stops banking for a while, it is best to use it.

I tried out half an hour of QBD earlier and I stand by my statement that a yak is too much work to be worth it. If I was going to go with a familiar I'd use a bunyip.
